EDIT: the episode is out so I can say that dragon form piccolo or God of Creation Piccolo as he's being dubbed in PlusUltraman's youtube series "What If Piccolo turned good early? " is the initial inspiration for the above image. I created these while he was still deciding what exactly he was going to do and I threw these ideas at him, though I hadn't been following the series prior to episode 8 so I wasn't aware that the new form would be singular until right before he released the episode. in the video, he credits me by my christmas twitter handle MUKISNACHT for the "balance" emblem but the character designs over all were commissioned to someone else.

I liked the idea of multiple forms that Piccolo could switch between as easily as a saiyan switches through the colors of the rainbow but based on his own origins. one form, he focuses on ki manipulation, like dragon clan namekians- ie Dende, Guru and others. in the other, he is focused on physical attacks augmented with ki like a warrior clan namekian- ie king Piccolo, Nail and others.
the forms and abilities manifested are due to the presence of the namekians Piccolo has fused with in the past as well as his own resolve. the TOP and events surrounding Morro convinced him that he needed to improve.
