Let me clarify a few things first:1. This is not a hate stamp.
2. I understand WHY MLP: FiM is popular. I'm very thankful that Lauren made this generation of ponies an enjoyable cast.
3. No, I don't like 4chan for many reasons I won't get into.
Now then,
The reason I did this stamp is simply for the pure irony of it. If it wasn't for 4chan, My Little Pony would still be the laughing stalk of the animated world. Admit it. You know it's true.
I've always been a pony fan, long before Friendship is Magic. None of this is new to me. I'm used to the bright, cute, girly and sometimes corny flavor. The only thing that is new is all the yuri and very questionable concepts the fandom has created...

I understand I actually yelled at the first few people I saw bashing G3, but now I just cut the caps lock and post something pro-G3 or pro- past gens. FIM is really cool in my opinion, but back when I was like 5 I had G3 and it wasn't stupid, though I liked the toys more than the videos just to put that out there. and I have to laugh at when people go "NOOOO WHAT DID THEY DO TO (insert pony!)" because when I first saw the toy line while strolling through Target these were my thoughts, "No they got rid of Fluttershy's awesome old coloring and why does she have wings? same with Rainbow Dash? and Applejack isn't orange... or is she? And who are all these new ponies. Cute enough though why do toys keep shrinking?"
Note: do not bash me for my thoughts, this was thought without any of my current knowledge on previous generations or watching FIM or anything like that. But would I have gone crazy on FIM fans at that moment? No I happen to be mature, but evidently shock is a common lead to bashing.

I feel you. But since everyone is soo happy about FiM its all I began to see. So I gave it a chance, and its not that bad. The Yuri is some sorta fetish probably that people have.

well it should be somewhat understandable that many people who got drawn into Fim weren't drawn in from the first generation, and can see and nit pik every differences in quality. so any generation before hand is completely alien to them, aside from the original mlp fans who watched it as a child and played with the toys, there is some nostalgia to that side as well.
and for the fandom... well... a fandom is still a fandom. nothing is really different. and this fandom is comprised of the older demographic, so yeah, that too

I've been calling this fandom a "fad" fandom for the longest. I liked it to begin with, considering i've loved MLP since I was a little girl...but then now, ugh. I still collect the figures, like to draw the damn things - but I dislike it when it seems when I draw them it's because of FIM which isn't even the case.
End my semi rant, but anyway...yeah. I've always like MLP, and sticking to it. I just hope I never meet any bronies IRL. Seeing them slam the G1 Cartoon through comments on Youtube and other crap has made me much more irritable then I should be.

I have the same feeling too, you're not alone. Although the bronies I've met have been nice, I'm still afraid of crossing the bad ones. Well, let's hope it goes well for the both of us but don't let anything they say get you down, alright?

I haven't actually "met" any besides people I know who ended up getting into it, then coming to me saying they were one. Thus inciting a bit of a stigma, and confusion since for some reason me having liked them before somehow makes "me" one. I don't know, I just don't want that kind of drama and idiocy. If i'm a "hipster", then so be it.

I actually got into MLP through FiM, then I checked out the other generations and got into them too. Now, I'm a huge collector of MLP and get ponies every time I go to a thrift store. As for the Yuri and stuff, every fanbase goes through it, it's just a normal part of the internet. Though people bashing on the older Generations is getting old already. I understand maybe bashing on the newborn cuties cartoon for it's animation, but other that that, I just don't see the point.

I've noticed that from some FiM fans, they've been quite the sports when it comes to the older generations and for that, I'm thankful. We do have fans of the older generations that are hateful towards FiM(which gets equally annoying) but I like it when we can come together and be a herd.
I'm no stranger to yuri invading fandoms, the same thing happens to fandoms with yaoi. I'm not saying it's wrong to have in FiM, I've actually found some lovely yuri art, but some things go overboard and it's just plain disgusting, so it all depends on the drawing.

I'm aware that the bigger the fandom, the more creepier it becomes; being an anime fan for years has taught me that.
I know Lauren doesn't care and honestly, I don't either but it does bother me when I stumble upon it by accident. I won't go to people and tell them to quit, to each their own. It just gives me an unsettling feeling to see a fandon I grew up with be taken over by creeps with no sense of decency.
But I guess being an old MLP fan is something "rare" for FiM only fans to understand. -3-

I was a fan of the customs before FiM came to be, the cartoon not so much. But to be fair to FiM, it made me go back and look at the older cartoons (Dream Valley and MLP Tales). They're not as bad as I remember, of course they're dated but they're not painful to watch as I originally thought.

I owe FiM for bringing me back to my childhood roots. I wasn't able to watch the all the movies when I was younger but I've always collected the ponies and I have such fond memories of them.
The movies are pretty outdated but they have that 80s charm that feels nostalgic!

Laura as in Lauren Faust? She seems pretty cool with the bronies. They even got a shout out in Equestria Girls. And shipping happens in every single fandom, but male ponies don't get much screen time (or names) in this show so of course it's going to be flooded with lesbian pairings and since the show is popular there's more fan art. Some of which is raunchy and weird, but there's a lot of good stuff too. I think a lot of good things have come out of this new demographic and I've been able to bond with some people who teased me about liking MLP before.

She does seem like a very nice person all around.
I know the shippings happen everywhere but seeing the ponies in sexual situations is very uncomfortable. I grew up with the ponies since Generation 1 and it's hard to see them like that. I have seen cute pictures but it's very few when compared to the unmentionables.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the pleasure of bonding with people because of MLP. I grew up with guys all my life and everyone just enjoyed poking fun at every girly thing I liked. Of course, I still got along with some of them but I was careful when mentioning such things. It was a rough childhood.

I actually watched in in youtube before I saw the first episode of FiM. When I saw Spike I was like ... Is that Spike? and it is!

Fun fact: almost all yuri is crack. There's less of it than yaoi at least, which is both bad and good.
