Great perception of depth, distance and speed. Very well done. There is nothing more epic than a dog fight in the vicinity of a dam.

Gee, posted on the wrong place. I was going to comment on your image but I messed up with the windows.
Anyway I love the depth of this piece, very catchy, and the texturing of the buildings.

Looks great! Although with no fire, smoke, guns or missiles, I wouldn't have known it was a dogfight if I hadn't read the title.

Great art work and imagination! This scene feels like it came out of the concept art of the video game, Frontlines: Fuel of War.

Why couldn't this kind of thing be the setting of the new Ace Combat? It looks so totally awesome! I can think of a plot right off the top of my head too:
Humanity has expanded to the stars, but continues to fight its wars the way they always did. A land war between two rival nations on a distant planet suddenly gets complicated when an inscrutable alien race with highly advanced aircraft and armour show up and start attacking both sides! The player's race must then fight both his nation's enemies and this unknown menace, but it slowly becomes clear that they're not too different. It turns out the aliens actually once settled this world, but left it as a memorial after a disastrous event wiped out their colony there. They see the humans (who have now joined together to fight them after the enemy country took enough of a pounding from your ace flying) presence and bloodshed on the planet as sacrilegious! Naturally, through that special connection only two aces locked in a dogfight can share, you and your squadron slowly start to empathise with the aliens and eventually, bring it to the negotiating table. The final battle against the superweapon takes place because of an extremist faction of the aliens who just won't quit and have warped their weapon into low orbit of the Ace Combat homeworld. After you and your squadron asplode it by flying down the barrel, all factions involved go on, hand in hand, to a bright new future under shared skies.
See? Didn't even take me ten minutes. Why'd they have to take it to the real world when I can make a story like that?
Ah well. Awesome picture here! Fighter planes <3

Great use of contrast, also nice hand on the color. Another thing I really like is the blur on the closest bird, that gives depth and a sense of action.

Which in no way addresses the fact that one guy is chasing four others when they should be ganging up on him in teams.
Either way, its a good piece.

yeah...it is a good piece. Fantastic actually.
If you'd be interested in that kind of thing, I would recommend watching the Red Flag flight games. It's really amazing to watch them fly up there
