Well it all depends they are the same model after all. The only difference between them is that Bobert is purposed as an AI learning unit. Robert was created to be a ravenous security unit for the manufacturing plant he was assembled in, but as funding ran out his primary objective was switch to that of Boberts.
His system is still marked up with tactics and interactive personality software. This just means that he still has the ability to fight, and he has much more personality than Bobert. Personality as in tone pitch, and interactive conversation skills.

I always thought of Bobert thinking of himself as a lifless husk and Carrie really is a lifeless. So I can see him trying to reach out to her for some sort of friendship and or relationship. I mean who knows right?
