I'm having my own little X-men revival, in which I've gone and found out what the more awesome of the x-men have been up to. (No updates on pyro *emo* *is aware he died, has the issue*) and yes, o.m.g. the comic writers are on crack and it NEEDS to STOP. just for a little. I miss x-men being in a mellow 'everything's fairly normal' groove. It was fun, I didn't have to read about Nightcrawler and his exploding communion waffers, or that his father is ACTUALLY SATAN. etc. etc. etc. (Chuck Austen - worst. writer. ever.)
got sidetracked then.
Which is proof that x-men sets me off on tangents and thus why I so obviously would have noticed that. (especially because that was a wonderful scene in that so-so movie. My friend and I spent most of that movie sighing/swooning dramatically when Angel appeared to annoy the guys who'd come with us, though. Also bitching about Leech not being green. !! GRR.)

I actually stopped reading the comics when I was very young. My father was a major fan and he kind of introduced me to it when I was little, but then around seven I got all 'WhatEVS about j00r comic books!' and dropped the whole fandom all together..
...then the movies started coming out...
...and the old flame was rekindled T__T!
I loved that scene in the movie. And when angel broke out of that harness when his dad was trying to give him the injection I turned into quite the little puddle of goo on the floor x3; <3

Mm, I was big fan of the cartoon as a kid... and then the x-men evolution series (I had some kind of semi-role in that fandom...) and after evo was the comics (so year 10) then I just stopped because comics are a RIP OFF in australia ($5 an issue? no thanks) but the movies were wonderful. I adore Iceman and Pyro (even if they're so very OoC) and angel = so much swoon-age! Baby!Angel was so full of cute and makes you want to run up and hug him. AllGrownUp!Angel is just damn fine, AND STILL makes you want to hug him. Pouty boy.
