Description
So! Before we get to the big 300th Creepazoid, I thought it'd be fun to take a little peek behind the curtain! Sometimes, while I'm working on a set, characters can change, the set's theme can evolve, or better ideas replace older ones, and certain designs fall through the cracks. It just so happened that by now I've amassed enough rejected Creepazoids for their very own set! I'll go into a little more detail on each one, in case anybody's curious:

Maki: An additional sushi-based character for Series 7, Creepazoids: Food Fight . While I liked the design, it felt redundant with General Ebi already being in there. Maybe this guy can come back in an official set down the line!
Bishop: Replaced in Series 8, Creepazoids: Black and Wight , by Blanc. Now that I'm thinking about it, Bishop is probably the stronger design, but I liked the idea of Blanc and Noir being opposing entities in the set, especially give the title of that series.
10-GU: Cut from Series 32, Creepazoids: URBAN/VINYL . A "version 2" attempt to mimic the design sensibilities of toy company 1000Toys, but overall his look just didn't fit with the set, and I had too many other ideas that sounded more fun. Also, at the end of the day, I don't think he improves on his original design. I might take another whack at this concept later on...
Tizzy: Original version of Tizzy from Series 12, Creepazoids: The Golden Age of Weird . I had it in my mind that all the characters had to be robots, but this felt forced. She works much better as a classic hosepipe character, without the robotic elements.
Lima Bean: Back when I used to post preview characters for upcoming sets, I posted this guy as an April Fools joke, saying that he was part of a set called "Creepazoids: Bean Counters", with each character being a different type of bean. I think I was the only one who thought it was funny...
Humbolt: A more classic, Victorian take on Frankenstein's monster, for Series 4, Creepazoids: Silver Scream . It was originally going to be a period set, with more traditional takes on the monsters, before I decided to use the Rockabilly angle. I'm planning on bringing him back for this year's Halloween set!
Red Wolfman: From an abandoned set called Creepazoids: Monster Mosh. Each character was going to mix classic monsters with different music genres/fandoms. Red Wolfman was a combination of the Wolfman and Oingo Boingo front man Danny Elfman, whose nickname was Danny "Red Wolf" Elfman. I might return to this concept, but for whatever reason I lost interest in it at the time. Maybe because I didn't like referencing specific real world people so much? Dunno.
The Fool: Cut character from Series 34, Creepazoids: Prime Time . Similar to Red Wolfman, The Fool is a reference to Tom Waits, particularly from his album Bone Machine. He was meant to represent the MTV aspect of '90s television, but overall it didn't feel like it fit the set well enough, especially because the focus was mainly on '90s animation. It already felt like the set lacked cohesion, so I dropped him. He'll probably come back in a later set!
Steamer: Cut from Series 15, Creepazoids: Explore! When I started the set, it was more based on vintage travel, so the concepts revolved around classic travel poster imagery. It evolved the evoke more of the pulp adventures of that period instead, so this one didn't seem to fit as well. It's also just kinda not a great drawing. Usually I catch that before the coloring phase, but sometimes I get too eager...

Anyhoo, that's a wall of text, huh? Maybe I'll do this again 30 more sets down the line!
