Description
A contest entry for where the challenge was to design a water dragon as a mate for their character
Surprisingly I managed to make it relatively quickly while I had some free time

Anyway when I thought "water dragon" my first image was of a creature with elongated limbs, slender but strong for powering through currents like a dart. Originally I also gave her some long, twirly horns but got rid of them in favour of the 'crown' she has now. For the colouring I also wanted something different, not blue or green like is usual, but something stark and contrasting. So that's how I settled on this base of reddish-pink with purply-blue for markings and such.

I couldn't completely decide on a name though, was thinking something like Teluma (Telum meaning 'arrow' or 'dart' in Latin) but yeah.
