After Kris got Dorugamon to digivolve into Dorugreymon to battle Skullgreymon, Kris's dark side started to show, With Kris having Dorugreymon torture Skullgreymon in battle, Only to stop when Susie snap him out of it. But after Chara took control, This cause Dorumon to be drove much more aggressive and cruel, When Susie, Noelle and Kris had to stop a Pack of Kuwagamon, Kris had Dorugamon to violently attack the Kuwagamon, even ripping their wings off, But soon as Noelle try to get Kris to stop, But Kris soon began to produce dark energy and soon the Darkness corrupted Dorugamon's form, Transforming Dorugamon, Into Death-X-Dorugamon. There Kris and Death-X-Dorugamon disappear, over the weeks Kris and Death-X-Dorugamon began to attack digimons and absorbing their data to add to Death-X Dorugreymon strength. Upon discovering of Kris's soul being trap in the cape, Susie and Noelle along with Asriel free Kris's soul, After some tracking, they found Kris in the mountains, the battle was furious, the fighting even lead into Home town, In the End, Susie punch Kris in the face, allowing the soul to return into their body. After Kris's soul reuniting with their body, this restore Death-X-dorugreymon back to normal.

But after reuniting with their body, Kris had been fighting with his dark side, But Kris soon met Huanglongmon, Huanglongmon explain to Kris that despite being a holy digimon he is both good and evil, He said that your body is broken as your good side and dark side can't accepted each other, Your body will never be complete, Wanting to be in balance, Kris went under Huanglongmon's teaching, over 7 weeks, Kris learn of Balance, Though Frisk and Chara sides fought and try to force the other out, in the end Kris got the two sides accept each other, their the darkness and light became one soul, a shadow light soul. After upon returning this new Kris is much different, They are both kind and some what cruel, Kris knowns when to show mercy but does understand that some enemies are soo evil that they won't change or stop and had to put them down, after returning, Kris soon began training along with Susie, Asriel and Noelle with sans and Machinedramon to reach the mega. When Yggdrasil saw the human world as a threat and order the royal knights to destroy the real world, When Dynasmon and his army of Knightmon arrive, Kris and Dorugreymon, Battle against the Knghtmons, Though even as Kris had a chance to finish them, He gave them Mercy and the Knightmons took it and even gain their respect, But Dynasmon was annoyed, Dynasmon use Wyvern's breath and killed the Knightmons, Saying that accepting mercy is weakness and that it only allows your enemies to regain their strength. Dynasmon use his Wyvern's breath, sending Kris and Dorugreymon crushing into the ground, But When Dynasmon threaten to kill Toriel, Kris had Dorugreymon to digivolve into Dorugoramon, Their after Battle, Kris and Dorugoramon had Dynasmon on the ground, Kris offer Dynasmon mercy, But annoyed Dynasmon use Dragon's roar, Dorugoramon reflected the attack, Their Kris had Dorugoramon to finish Dynasmon.
