Declan, in general, is always bored and extremely judgmental. He will often just sit and stare blankly at people while they are talking, puffing on his cigar and drumming his fingers all the while. He rarely ever smiles or is amused, except at his own dry humour. He's quite arrogant, and fancies himself more refined and intelligent than most others he meets. He is also extremely stubborn. Though he likes to be on his own, he enjoys the company of attractive females, so long as they just sit there and look pretty. When in a bad mood, he can be downright volatile, but rarely, when he is in a very good mood, he enjoys it when someone is a challenge intellectually. In secret, his arrogance is a cover for low self-esteem.

        Three years ago, Declan awoke with no memories of who he was, his head separated from his body; and he was completely naked.
At first, he didn't realise it was his body.
"Poor sap" He thought, "Decapitated and stripped starkers." He tried to get up. "Funny....I can't feel my legs." He glanced over at the body lying next to him. It's legs were scrambling franticly on the ground.
It takes practice, moving your body while holding your disembodied head. But, over time, he gained his bearing, and some nice clothes.
Over the years, some things started come back to him. Glimpses, mostly. Faces of people he used to know, what they used to call him, and small items, giving him a passion for the ancient and antique.......and also an irrational fear of horses. From what he could remember...he was six hundred years old, and quite the ladies' man, when he was.....beheaded. By some very angry fellw on a large horse. But if it was for what he thought it was, it was bloody worth it.
