Bettas get along with mystery snails?
That's good to know.

Snails have a protective shell so I don't see anything wrong with adding one in with a betta. My bettas don't touch her unless there's an algae disc involved. Even still the snail cups her body around it so the betta can't get it.

Thank you! I have this guy and Bolt (the yellow one) in a 10 gallon with a divider in the middle. They share their 5 gallon space with a snail each and two bring shrimp on each side. They love it

Fish are friends not food lol! My bettas would probably eat brine shrimp right up, you can't buy them around here for some reason.. unless you buy those sea monkey kits haha.

Yeah I'm positive, I don't have any other fish in there but my bettas. His antenna is wrapped under his eye so it makes out a fish body lol!

Your betta is a very beautiful betta. Ad love the angel of the pic.
Is it a crown tail or a halfmoon? I'm still not good with my tail types.

Murphy1210 In reply to Frisk-Nowlie [2012-07-10 04:14:41 +0000 UTC]
Thank you so much! He is a halfmoon betta! Crown tails kind of have a spikey ending to their tails (You would know the difference once you see one )

Frisk-Nowlie In reply to Murphy1210 [2012-07-10 15:34:04 +0000 UTC]
Lol, Iv seen many and many more without the spikey part.
But you have a beautiful betta. May I ask we're you got the mystery snail? I'm planing on getting one for my females tank. (She's pretty kind to other living fish. So I have no worries with her.)

Ok, I'm getting one tommorow. I hope they have some, I hear that mystery snails are the he's to keep with bettas.

Murphy1210 In reply to Frisk-Nowlie [2012-07-11 11:21:27 +0000 UTC]
I think you meant best? If not I'm sorry lol! They are great to keep with bettas because its hard for a betta to attack them with that shell! They keep the tank clean and live plants clean as well. Just make sure to get some algae discs so they have food (many people don't know that they can't survive just off of algae)
