Description
The fallen are searching over God's creations, Book II; lines 620-629 (emphasis mine):"O'er many a frozen, many a fiery alp,
Rocks, caves, lakes, fens, bogs, dens, and shades of death,
A universe of death, which God by curse
Created evil, for evil only good,
Where all life dies, death lives, and nature breeds,
Perverse, all monstrous, all prodigious things,
Abominable, inutterable, and worse
Than fables yet have feigned, or fear conceived,
Gorgons and hydras, and chimeras dire.
Meanwhile the adversary of God and man,
Satan with thought inflamed of highest design,
Puts on swift wings, and towards the gates of hell
Explores his solitary flight;"
If God created the universe described above, and Satan is his enemy, who is good and who is evil?
Explanation of title of series: "aspiring dominations" = rebel angels.

Simple compostion, simple tones.
Small details make a great photo!

Well the point about the lack of sharpness has been made ! So lets leave it out !!
But i love the way square format works here !! (oh i so wish for it.. maybe someday i will own one HB too )
Its all textures at play.. Amidst the whites the whiter glasses at higher contrast hold up the image !!
Beautiful abstract !! Composed perfectly !!

hehe if you want it bad enough it will happen
thanks for the crit - does seem the sharpness in the blinds bothers everyone but me haha, I almost think it'd be too sharp if the blinds were also in focus but thats prolly just me.
Thanks again

I'm half(father's japanese, mum's american). I was also born/raised in the states, and while my parents were together my dad was getting his mba so he was working on his english, so no japanese was spoke at home.
Didn't move to Japan until jan '05, and I've been going to a university where all my classes are in english, my japanese improved drastically to a point(where i can manage/get by/survive) and then plateaued.
Been rather busy so haven't been able to stop by the place but its on my list of things to do

the composition is good!
what is it? is it a model, is it a building, is it a part of a house?

do you now who the architect is?

dunno - its a pretty standard tokyo structure, those little holes in exposed concrete are everywhere.
I'll see if the people occupying it know who the architect is but my japanese is pretty horrible so no promises there

thanks for the critique; the ones on the left or the right? It was a 3 minute exposure so the blinds were moving around a bit maybe which caused the blurriness. May try again during the day when not such a long exposure is required.
