So, we have our first Spike episode of the season. I really like Spike episodes. There are some really good ones like "Gauntlet of Fire" and "The Times They are a Changeling". Then there are ones that don't do so well like "Princess Spike" and "Spike at your Service". Where does this episode fall? Probably the former two. I really liked this episode, like I have liked most of the episodes of Season 7 so far. Spike manages to invite Thorax and Ember to Ponyville on the same day, what could go wrong? That's exactly what he was thinking the whole time. Although, I wonder where the rest of the mane 6 were on that day? Maybe 3 of them are on a camping trip or something. Anyway, back to this episode. I just loved all of the antics that Spike had to go to, plus him being called by the map?! Well he does have a throne. First Starlight, and now Spike. That's something I was not expecting. And I also like how Ember and Thorax got to teach each other how to solve their own problems. Ember told Thorax to be more assertive as a leader, and Thorax told Ember to open up with her feelings. It's nice how well it resolved in the end. P.S, My first time drawing a bear and Ember. It took me forever to try and get it right.
