I know it's supposed to be the same character, but I like this picture (and the attitude that goes with it) much more than 'Show Off'. In fact, so different are the two pictures that they could be drawings of two completely different characters...^^

It is the matter of age for this character - here he is a lil' bit younger. But i completely understand what you mean and i wanted it that way. You know the thing is that I think u could make a lively (it's not supposed to be always strictly realistic) character the people may like by making one basic strain and adding extra characteristics than second strain with extra characteristics and etc if u find this necessary.

That is clearly good advice. I do have a character in mind, but I am also slightly - and perhaps more than slightly - afraid of the amount of work involved in doing a manga...^^

Oh yeah it was pretty hard for me to switch to tablet it took a long. But do not worry - try further mastering ur skills on paper - and then you will be shocked how fast u can get used to tablet - first for just putting ur scanned drawings in final form and then for 100% digital drawings) Good luck and have fun)

You have a really nice gallery~ but of course, with just a quick scan, this caught my attention most. ^^ all the dark, nuetral colors really allow those green eyes and red patches pop. Makes his skin look really light as well, which i adore~ I must ask, did you use multiple medias for this, or some kind of computer art thingy? just curious because of the pen-like scribblies and the soft, effortless feel of his skin and eyes. either way, the way you mixed the textures looks pretty awesome. gives it a rough, yet soft, feel.
