Description My second attempt at using corel painter for the color. I inked this picure much more carefully than usual as well, and I think it payed off.

Inspired by Michelle Jin's gorgeous legs, and the brilliant manga style of Adam Warren.

She is a cutie.  Barefoot and wearing Daisy Dukes shorts, showing off those fabulous legs, especially the calves.

This is a beautiful piece! Good job with the painter coloring- it looks like you handled it well.

Cheers Jeb. I'm not sure about painter at all. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, but it just stresses me out. I find it to not be very intuitive. It takes me ages finding suitable brushes and it doesn't seem to respond to the pressure on my tablet properly either (whereas photoshop works perfectly). I really like being able to mix paint on the canvas though, and mixing your own pallette is a joy.

Got any good tips? Perhaps I just need to get hold of a good book.

Hm- when I use painter, I usually use Artist's Oils and one of the blender brushes- oily bristle, or blender bristle- I turn off the impasto effects, as they are visually distracting. For detail I use either Acrylics or Charcoal, as they are opaque and don't blend as much- also you can get variable line width with the chalk and pencil tools.
I find that I use Photoshop a lot anyway still. Which isn't ringing praise of Painter.

Dude, have you seen Michelle Jin? She actually has legs like that for real - there's a couple of vids on youtube I think, have a look?
