Description
This is Boogie.He is our ferret.
The other morning when i went out to get my frost photos for my daily photo exercise I didn't get the patio door closed all the way and that little sneak managed to get one paw in and open it enough to escape.
It was 25 degrees outside. We looked and looked and I just had a feeling he had fallen down the embankment to the creek or he had followed my scent trail down there.
By evening we were getting worried as another cold night was settling in. Our neighbors across the creek has seen a strange white furry animal at the creekside getting a drink of water. So we knew he's was around.
They pulled out their flashlights and joined in the search...but to no avail.
We put out a bowl of food, water and our ferret tent (yes, they go camping with us) and hoped for the best.
15 minutes later, I looked up from my laptop to see him eating away, hungry and cold. He was home!
This is a much more mellow Boogie riding around in my lap as we went out for a photo-expedition yesterday.

Don't know.. but he's great at getting out..well, not so much as i changed their diet and he's HUGE now. Our three have the run of the house. We have litter boxes in all 'their' corners and they are amazingly clean. at night we place pillows like steps so they can come and go, they like to sleep with us on cold nights. Warm nights we don't see them. I sniffed the tail..your right

Oh thank you, Boogie thanks you through his new sunglasses...he's having a hard time getting his head through the door,but other than that he's enjoying his new found fame on dA!
Truly, he's been a hit, thank you so much for including him in your feature. You have such a lovely cat. I used to have a white cat white pale blue eyes, he was quite the fellow, but had to leave him behind years ago. I miss him to this day.

Your welcome, I bet having a ferret is just a kick, wish we could have them here, people do, not sure if you are in California or not but many people have them anyway and I have thought about it but most veterinarians wont treat them here, some do but you have to really look and hope no one turns you in. That would be a nightmare to me to have one and something happen to it and not be able to find it care so I haven't gone there, oh, but I want to, they are so flippin cute I just can't stand it, I want to kiss one soooo bad

awe... I've heard that they are illegal in some states. Here they are legal but have to be fixed before they hit the pet store. I got mine second hand from a gal who sold two for a great price. Boogie is my Man's. They all are so fun, they have the run of the house and sleep with us at night. Of course, one has cancer and is bald from butt to neck, but she's my sweetie, and seems perfectly healthy otherwise, so I'm giving her a wonderful home to live out her little life. She sleeps in my clothes, on me, around me...she's my little shadow.
