So . . . . I don't think I've ever mentioned how much I love the West End musical of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Or just flat out Charlie and the Chocolate factory the story. It was literally my first fandom allllll the way back in 2005. And I really enjoy the song "More of Him to Love" detailing the life of gluttonous German Augustus Gloop. ( Listen here www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZi3JE… ) I just love the characterization of the Gloop family so they've been the subject of a lot of my doodles.

My friend and I have been talking a lot about the Gloops and their butcher shop, hence the title. "Metzgerei" is the Southern German word for "Butcher Shop" as opposed to the Northern German word "Fleischerei". Huzzah for my 4-plus years of German coming in handy~

For some reason, they sort of remind us of the characters from "Bob's Burgers" in a . . . weird way. Mrs. Gloop (musical version) is kinda like Linda in her dotingness over her child(ren) and I can see Mr. Gloop a little like Bob, simple man just trying to own a business. But anyways, they're cute and I enjoy drawing for them.
