Description
Generally in classic paintings in the battles of morality, the "heroic" knight in shining armor valiantly slays the fiendish dragon with a handheld sword or any other pointed weaponry, while the fair maiden is occasionally seen in the background. However, when Sir Peccatori became the Hellmouth, he had in mind, more creative ways of slaughtering the reptilian creatures he could only have dreamed of before. One concept he tried out, is what he calls "Blade Breath". Since his mouth is also a portal to the Inferno, countless blades can launch out of his throat, simultaneously, which serves as a formidable method of unleashing a nasty surprise on his prey. Even with it's fiery breath, the unfortunate dragon that tried to put up a fight against Sir Peccatori, is now suffering far worse than a mere cramp in it's underbelly.
I also have a closeup of Sir Pec in the sta.sh below since he's not clear enough when enlarging the post above.

Oh my gosh, so badass!!
This is why Pec is so awesome and one of the best OC's to grace DA.
The sword breath is pure genius and the way how the dragons eyes are pipping out is pretty cool, it really shows the force of the attack.
The poses are great!

Thank you so much!🎉✌️😄👍🎉👑
I'm so pleased that you enjoy my character.
I wanted to draw this for some time and I'm glad how it turned out with how it is executed with the sword breathing knight.
As for the dragon, I also wanted to give it's wings a more medieval look by having them appear more like fish fins.
Peccatori's pose was rather tricky for me to draw, especially with how he woul swing his arms back.

You are welcome 🌸
I do and yes it turned out very well. I like that you tried to make the dragon more medieval, it worked.
Yes, poses like that are hard, but you executed it perfectly.

Let's be honest, any form of melee attack is kind of useless against anything that flies. Even bows and arrows are more something for guys that have the eyes of a hawk. Essentially however, spamming something overpowered is the best way to deal with anything. I usually kill dragons in Skyrim by abusing the enchantment system and pair it with the strongest lightning spell to cast it indefinitely till the HP drop to zero. Way faster than waiting for it to get down or trying to shoot it with arrows. So, I guess breathing literal swords, which are thrown out with a velocity of several hundred kilometers per hour, by the number of thousands kind of would result in anything that is not covered in extremely dense material to be turn apart (or a being that is not even composed of solid matter). It is kind of like when you have a shotgun, which fires way larger projectiles than usual. And has no recoil. It is the smartest way to deal with enemies that have way too many HP but are essentially still unable to really do much harm to you. So, Peccatori gets the price for good ways to deal with raoversized monsters, and also 3,284 Exp, 2,935 Gold (because apparently everything has gold these days), and a useless iron shield, which he might just throw away.
Oh, I just commented on the idea itself. The execution kind of makes it quite... macabre? Not sure what the term is that means both horrifying and funny. It kind of is that with the one eyeball popping out from the impact. Well, I guess if heart, lungs, stomach, and intestines, are torn apart instantly, it kind of is not even the worst thing for the dragon to have an eye pop out. The irony is, the image of a knight slaying a dragon is based on Michael, the Archangel and leader of the divine troops, fighting Satan, who also is known as the Dragon (and a bunch of other names and titles).

Thank you.
That's certainly true there without projectiles. I actually used a bow and arrow a few times on cardboard and I have trouble landing a bullseye at just around five yards.
I heard about Skyrim and I remembered seeing most of the dragons in midair, I can imagine how difficult it would be to try shooting them down with arrows, so enhanced lightening spells is certainly more effective.
That's pretty much what it's like when Sir Pec fires them at his prey. The blades won't penetrate everything they collide into, Archangel Jeanne D'Arc's shield being one of them, and Pec has no need to use this method when he's hunting for ghosts.
That's an excellent deal for Sir Pec, he'll gladly accept all, though he'd probably try and sell the iron shield before eventually discarding it.
I went for both horror and humor on this one since the scenario is very straight forward and abrupt. The dragon confronts Peccatori, thinks the warrior is just going to be one of those lousy, romanticized, conventional knights and prepares to burn him. Then the next moment, the dragon's lost its apatite, its eye and organs, as well as its life.
I also had that irony of the image of Michael slaying Satan in mind since I wasn't depicting the dragon as evil in this post. Actually, the statue of The Archangel at the Pont Saint Michel had a very dark ironic past.

Ah yes, originally the figure of Pax was placed into the architecture, but then planned to be replaced by Napoleon, and then was replaced by Michael. It was then damaged by mobs after the capture of Louis Napoleon III. by the Germans. It was restored at the end of the same century.

Certainly true there, and there was also a nasty event that occurred in 1961 which gave the French police a bad name, graffiti describing what happened was once written at Pont Saint Michel during the time.

Ah, the Paris Massacre of 1961. Quite a reminder that the time in which people were assured protection from such acts is rather young. And even today probably only an illusion.

Very efficient method to kill a Dragon if I ever saw one. I love the way Sir Pec's blade breath is executed, I can see the movement of the swords as they tear right through the dragon's underbelly.

I'm glad you enjoy this. When he stops firing, he can even clamp on to the blades and use them as a long range melee weapon simply by swinging his head around.

I had this concept in mind for quite a while. The most difficult part for me was pretty much how Pec would pose when he launches them.

In many ways, he pretty much became some sort of God in Peccatori, the Trident Kanabo and The Three King Richards post.
