Description
Exploud (the Loud Noise Pokémon) is a rare Normal-type Pokémon found among grassy fields, mountainous terrain and some caverns within the Hoenn, Kalos and Galar regions as well as the Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh and Unova regions on rare occasions. Though their displeasing appearance might make them less than popular among trainers, when it comes to the power of sound, it can honestly be said that none compare to Exploud, as these giants can easily destroy opponents much larger than themselves with devastating blasts of concentrated sound unlike any other. Make sure to take note of these beasts in battle and observe them carefully; if you see them breathe in a large quantity of air, forget about battling and run just to save yourself!Upon evolving into Exploud, Loudred experience further transformation in their body and gain a respiratory system so bizarre and convoluted that any traditional anatomist would take one look at it and give up on the spot. This is because their airways in Exploud, though connected to their enormous larynx, all lead to small portholes on their body that act in conjunction with their back muscles as a modified set of lungs; this makes sense in light of the fact that Exploud otherwise do not have any true lungs in their body. Despite its bizarre appearance, this system works perfectly for Exploud, as it allows them to utilize the Echoed Voice attack and completely control every sound they make by using their bodies as a fleshy pipe organ or bagpipe, modifying every physical aspect of their noises at their discretion. In addition, evolution increases their size and physical strength dramatically, giving them the capacity to learn the powerful Crunch attack immediately after evolving, the ability to wield the Fire Fang, Ice Fang and Thunder Fang attacks freely, and the capacity to store energy within their bodies to the point of being able to naturally execute the deadly Hyper Beam attack.
Unlike Loudred, Exploud rarely raise their voice outside of battle, instead relying on it for communication; by adjusting the various ports on their bodies, Exploud can speak in a variety of forms, thus greatly amplifying the variety of life forms they can properly communicate with. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that the sound will necessarily be coming from their mouths; following the bagpipe analogy, Exploud breathe in and out through every single port even when they are asleep, producing whistle-like sounds and occasionally ultrasonic sounds when their mouths are closed. When pressed into combat, however, Exploud will gladly demonstrate their full power by violently sucking in air through every single bodily port before releasing it all in one huge howl. Although they can be heard from over six miles away (and in turn were often used to communicate between populations separated by great distances), the pitch of the cry is the least concerning issue, as the sheer intensity of their howls is strong enough to easily generate earthquakes and knock entire patches of forest land flat in a single strike. However, this occurs as a side effect of the attack and is not meant to be their primary method of dealing damage, hence why they must be taught the Earthquake attack via TM in order to fully utilize the power of these tremors. Nonetheless, Exploud are extremely dangerous because they can still adjust the physical mechanics of their howls freely, allowing them to produce anything from ultrasonic shrieks that are great for shattering glass to low-pitched blasts that can effectively liquefy soft internal tissues and thus prove to be highly lethal. This is perfectly demonstrated by their capacity to learn the monstrous Boomburst attack late in life, a move too powerful for Whismur or Loudred to normally learn; this is duly reflected within the availability of the move itself, as only a few species of Pokémon are able to use the attack.
While their abnormal appearances and moderate stats might make them seem less than spectacular, Exploud are devastating creatures that can use the power of sound to effectively decimate anything that dares to get in their path. Whether you're a hip DJ or just a trainer that wants to shake things up, consider getting your hands on one of these titans as soon as possible if you're looking to use sound to add a bit of drama or flair to your next battle. Just be careful about battling with them indoors; most arenas are designed to handle some rough play, but few are designed to hold up against the massive sonic disturbances these monsters are capable of producing!

Stakataka ruins it though.
Any tips for getting past that rampart of insane defense?

Bring something with Ground-type special attacks like Earth Power.

exploud is my favorite of his line(loudred 2nd-whismur last)
i usually teach my exploud ice fang-fire fang-thunder fang-uproar-astonish-howl-bite-supersonic-stomp-screech-crunch-roar-synchronoise-hyper voice-hyper beam-boomburst-echoed voice-earthquake-shadow ball-flamethrower-fire blast-round-overheat-focus blast-incinerate-retaliate-bulldoze-rock slide-strength-circle throw-disarming voice-snore-outrage-work up and avalanche among other moves that suits him
i got my exploud as a whismur at rusturf tunnel,he was kinda hard to catch since one wrong move and he would cause a cave in by using uproar so i had to be careful not to startle him but thankfully i got him in the end,as a whismur he was very timid and easy to scare,as an exploud tough he is hard to scare and tend to be short tempered towards anyone that tries(wich means he will angrily yell at them for even trying, hes never angry at me or my pokemon tough strangely enough)outside of battle he loves to sit down and relax but in battle tough he mostly will use his sound based attacks(unless the opponent have soundproof)if anyone is stupid enough to try to kill his loved ones he wont stop hunting the offender down and attack him with his boomburst wich will hospitalize the offender(only killing if there is no other choice and only as a last resort)
ps:i really need to stop talking about my pokemon killing anything even if it is as a last resort

A sadly under rated Pokemon
Despite their lack of speed, they are extremely powerful and have a wide range of moves to choose from and are actually one of the strongest and most reliable normal types this side of Porygon-Z.
You put on Choice Specs and fire off a Boomburst, and BOOM!!!
And they Scrappy as their hidden ability, so even ghosts aren't safe.

It's painful sending my Exploud out to battle. I keep having to replace my ear muffs because of it's horribly loud Boomburst attack breaking them.

Well, that's just a hazard thet you'll have to get used to if you really want to bring the best out of such a beast.

Actually, it's interesting, I think, to notice that some Exploud are manipulating sounds so well that they are litteraly able to speak to their trainer... I've got the exemple of a young boy's Exploud whose first words were "Thank you" right after evolving.

As am I. I've been doing a lot of tinkering in the back room of my reports, but this is the first one where something big had to be added, namely Exploud's unique gift (so far only shared by Noivern) to learn the devastating Boomburst attack.

I ran into a group of Whismur, Loudred and Exploud once, and discovered a new move. Hyper-Belch, does way more damage than Hyper Voice.

WOW. I'm no where as good. The most powerful I get is being a Twili, one of the citizens of the twilight realm, in hyrule. I am a Proffesor of Pokemon for Oklahoma, but I'm not Oklahoma'a official Pokemon Proffesor.
