Thanks! I really can't take credit for the image itself, only the 3-D conversion of it. I think the image is fascinating, so I just HAD to see it in 3-D. *lol*

This is a very interesting picture to watch! There is something in the combination of the ornamental detail and the spots of red and blue that makes the picture live. I like it a lot.

It's the album cover from Soen's "Cognitive", right?
Really nice effect 3-D effect.

The original artwork is from Alex Grey, isn't it ?
Or you really do all the line again with the add of 3D effect ? (which is well done ^_^)

MVRamsey In reply to Morbidouce [2012-08-22 22:37:59 +0000 UTC]

It might be...I'm familiar with Grey's work, but
I'm not sure about this particular one, as I found it on a wallpaper site and the artist's name wasn't mentioned. I thought it was awesome enough that it should be seen in 3-D, so I applied a depth map to the image.

Yeah, I'm not really sure too, so I ask on his website
Even though, that's a great 3D making you made !
I will tell you if I have an answer about the artist who made the piece ^_^

I love the detail in this. The way the lines work together owo Somehow, it doesn't look busy. The subtlety of the red and blue add to the effect without really hurting the eyes. Good job ewe

Well, I appreciate the comments, but I can't take credit for the artwork itself...all I did was add the 3-D depth effect by created a displacement map and applying it to the original art.
