Description
not your usual take on the elements of water, wind and fire. i knowto me, the positioning and the branching toes resemble fire. and the wrinkles remind me of the wind that rakes the desert sand. and of course, who can forget the element of water - ie: moisture/perspiration - that's associated with the orange heat...
done in faber-castell pencil crayons. took many hours. the awkward shadows were challenging.
i might paint a thin wash of orange or yellow watercolor over it to cover up the white "holes" that the pencil crayons left out.
** contest: "water, wind, fire" by the pencil club. [link]
**** vote for me! vote E at [link] thanks!

nice drawing and concept
but try burnishing instead of watercolor for areas where the paper is showing through.

Before I read, I thought the wrinkles were from the water, and the feet were drying/warming by a fire--but I couldn't see the wind.

Really nice work, I use colored pencils, too amongst other medium, so I know what it is to work with them. I must say that I really want those feet to pull back from the orange. I keep thinking hot! and ouch!

hahah. thanks. well, you can think of it as a nice cool table in the summer for your feet to rest on! does that cool things down better?
