So it looks like they are gonna bake cupcakes for the festival, after all. Since there weren’t cupcakes in the prologue, I was wondering if helping Natsu prepare for the festival would involve something different.

I wasn't planning on previewing the Day 2 CGs. Just the Day 1 and Weekend ones; 6 altogether. Everything else, you'll need to play the game. There's 14 unlockable CG scenes altogether.
They're definitely baking. Not in the prologue, but on Day 1 (in the Beta) we are introduced to Natsu's baking hobby.
