I’m sorry, I can’t keep silent any longer. Someone has to say something.

A friend once told me that bashing an anime character was wrong because the creator put so much work and effort into bringing that character to life. I didn’t understand at first, but it made me realize she had a point. It also made me realize I had to make my own point. It made me think: ‘What about turning said creators’ characters into homosexuals and sex hounds? What about incest? Does not the same principle apply?’

When you take these characters, which are most likely based on the creator’s friends or family, and draw them grinding on each other, tongue kissing, and just plain fucking (sorry to be crude, but I'm trying to make a point), you’re not only disrespecting the creator, but you’re also dishonoring him and putting shame upon him. And you people DARE to call yourselves ‘fans’.

Butch Hartman, creator of Danny Phantom and The Fairly Oddparents, recently busted a young man at Fanart Central for drawing very accurate pornography of Danny Phantom characters. The boy was lucky Mr. Hartman didn’t sue. But eventually, your luck will run out.

I add people to my watch list because I find their art beautiful and I admire their skills. But when I can’t even look at their art because most of it is so lude and disgusting, then there really isn’t a point to be watching them, now is there? A lot of you are extremely talented and don’t need to resort to drawing porn to be popular. Aside from that, most of you are WAY too young to be constantly thinking about sex (I'm not going to get into that. I'm not your mother). There’s so much more to life then fornication, people; be it homo, hetero or incest relations.

I say this because I don’t want you to make Masashi Kishimoto, Rumiko Takahashi or any other anime creator feel like perverts for putting such smutty ideas in their fans’ heads. It’s incredibly selfish of you if you feel otherwise. If they meant for their precious characters to be in a porno, they would have written them in such a story. But they don’t. They love their characters. I’m sure every time they venture online to view the fanart from their many fans, they feel embarrassed and ashamed of you.

I know I’m going to get flamed big-time for this, but I really feel I needed to say something. For every 1 hundred or so flames I get, I’m hoping to change the mind of at least 1 person to stop this smut and show what a true fan can draw.

Go on. Make your favorite anime creators proud.
