ahh!!! here it is!
Before she was corrupted her gem was confined to the spot between her shoulder blades and her hair was the only water thing about her. She was a respected gem who was told to be beautiful, elegant, and happy. always singing a song of joy
but, after a battle gone wrong, her gem cracked and the pieces that fell continued to hover around her and the other shards expanded to imitate strands of coral ripping out of her back. her skin became water and her eyes whited over, tears consistently dripping down because she was crying before she was corrupted.
she now drifts around the foggiest parts of the ocean, wailing about her loss and cleaning the dark waters with her fresh tears. Her songs lure in humans and she wrecks any ship in sight, destroys any gem who approaches her, and just wails her song of woe as she can't ever be the same gem she was.

yea! my pal and i thought she'd be a rad siren sort of gem, just not really hungry as she is resentful
