It's your first year. Prim.Your name is only in there once,
They're not going to pick you.
This chapter hurts me a little every time because we all know what's going to happen next.
This drawing started out as a simple sketch for practise. I drew it after I saw another artist's great work on this scene
and it made me want to sketch it in my own style. But I kept going and now I really wanted to upload it, even though I

I hate dystopian fiction series, but I admire Katniss' selflessness in offering her life in place of Prim's without question. Because of Rue's death, I didn't want to continue with the Hunger Games movies or books, as it was then I realized the crux of a lot of these YA series is sending children/teenagers to fight and kill each other over things that should be solved by adults WITHOUT bloodshed.

I see what you mean. There is a formula for these genre and it makes all these books so predictable. The reason I enjoyed The Hunger Games so much was because these books were my first 'young adult' genre, apart from Harry Potter if that series counts. So I was unfamiliar with the go-to formula at that time. And so, this story was still all new and exciting for me. Rue's death was hard for me too but it was impossible to avoid. Other deaths from the series got to me too

Maze Runner, Divergent, the YouTube film "The Thinning", the film from last year "The Circle"... all of them have some aspects of the formula presented in Hunger Games.

Thank you so much! It touches me very much as well. It's just because Katniss sounds so sure, but we all know what's going to happen next.
Also, Prim reminds me a lot of my cousin who is like a sister to me. So it's very touching.

This piece is marvelous, I love the techniques you've used. It looks so warm and old fashioned and yet the topic Katniss brings up is heartbreaking but it all blends in together perfectly, (am I making sense? hope so XD..) Well Done!
