This is amazing! I love the shading and the lines are very neat. the proportions are perfect and her eyes are beautiful. I think you did especially well on the wings. Your art style is one I have never seen before so its very special and unique to you! I love the background even though it has been done many times with Luna. Her face is really adorably confused! The mane and tail look wonderful with her. The cutie mark is so beautifully done. If I had to choose my favorite part of this piece is the wings. Keep drawing! I would love to see more of your work!

( I actually ended up getting a bit of dislike on this piece from people before because it was done in this style, rather than how Luna looks in the actual show. x.x But it makes me feel SO much better that someone realized its...just how I draw ponies.

Princess Luna and the background that accompanies it looks very fitting with it.
The nose of the mare looks more like a stallion's snout which makes the drawing a bit unsettling and off. I suggest making it more smoother or just less poking out from its face.
The area around the cutie mark and the black spots on the bottom legs should separate from the background by either lines or just removing the stars. The reason for that is because it looks more trippy and "70s" style rather than fitting for the tone.
The eyes look a little undetailed which gives off a doll look and less the magical look it has. Perhaps some details on the eyes you find from other pony drawing could inspire you.
Overall, the drawing is very solid and nice looking. Some flaws are present though.

Wow, I love the finishing in this piece! What software do you use, and how do you get those sparkles? (I use SAI, but I dont know a quick way to make this effect).

I do most of the coloring in SAI! Its shading abilities are far better than Photoshop, but Photoshop has a much better ability of its brushes.
Ive favorited a bunch here, and a bunch of SAI brushes as well.

Photoshop is also alot easier when it comes to making clear backgrounds on PNGs, far easier than SAI! (With SAI, sometimes you kinda have to...."Guess". lol As it does not give any clear indication that you haven't accidentally swiped a streak of white across the background or not, heh.)
The overlay, and overall effects of Photoshop, are a lot more handy as well.
But when it comes to line-art and shading....SAI has Photoshop beat by a mile!

Here is one of my favorite tutorials that really puts alot of POP into your end piece, and this is a tutorial on how to do it in SAI as well!
(I personally think this effect is done better in Photoshop, but it is still at least possible in SAI!)
