Can you tell I had no idea what to title this?Alright, well my brother and I made a trade. He built me a light box big enough to aid me with my comics (a comic art page being 11x17 inches), so I drew him this design.
Not being a tattoo artist, I just did my thing knowing that an actual tattooer will know what he/she needs to do to make it work as a tattoo. Hopefully they don't hate me for it.
Anyway, I've got some more trade stuff in the works for my bud ~Godfist-Legend . Hear that, Jermaine? I haven't forgotten ya

Sweet, nice pose and the animation cel style shading is dead on!
On the subject of designing tattoos, as a tattooist explained to me as a rough guide- if it can be drawn or shaded by hand... then it can be tattooed. Which is why I try to do all the shading and tones by hand.

Again, a nice piece you've got there - and I TOTALLY agree with your thoughts on drawing from real life... because if you know how the real world works, this can help make the unreal stuff look more... err...

Ahh sexy nurses, gotta love them. I really like all the folds in her uniform- looks very... accurate. I'm not sure how else to word that- but it's something I struggle with so I admire you!

Self taught.
I recommend going to the book store and searching through the "how to draw" books that connect with your interests, as well as basic, realistic anatomy books. Don't forget to draw as much as possible, otherwise those books are just expensive toilet paper.
Draw from life as well. If you're only drawing based on a cartoon or comic book style, then your art is destined to be an exaggeration of an exaggeration, which is rarely a good idea.
