I understand. 
It it truly heartbreaking that you can relate to Sanji in such ways. Treating people in such horrid and disturbing ways is simply disgusting. Sanji really is a sweetheart, and the fact the he can smile after all that abuse is a tremendous feat, and the same I can say for you. And I hope you too can smile.

It really is, honestly. People really confuse me sometimes because the extent of depravity apparently has no limit. But honestly its kind of worth it when we finally find something that represents us and makes us feel less shitty about going through so much abuse and being so fucked up. like, my dream is to make someone feel the emotions i felt for sanji reading his past cause its more than just a character to me. its a representation of the shit that people like me go through being put into the mainstream media and that kind of shit just means so much to someone who's been outcasted her entire life

Yeah! I have a friend who feels just like you about another character. To him, it's more than just just a character, but something much more. It's like "Oh wow there are other people like me, and they've been through x and y and still managed to make it through." Representation is a wonderful thing in my opinion, it just makes people feel like "Hey buddy, you're not alone I know how it feels." not in a condescending or i've-been-through-worse-stop-whining way. Hah. Feelings.
