It's a monster's eye. Β I only realized way after I posted this that I should have made it look like he ripped it out of something. Β
Although in his universe you could probably use an eye like that to power certain spells so it could double as a mystical object to some people... Β
I'd assume he's about to crush it regardless. Β After all he's boring and wouldn't do anything fun with something like that.
