This is exactly it. Mirai Trunks believed what his mother told him, but at no time did he ask Yamcha what actually happened. Bulma may have lied to her son because she is still a selfish woman. The great thing about all this is that Yamcha is a humble, upright guy. He has changed a lot since he was a desert thief. He might as well tell everyone the truth that Bulma betrayed him, but, he prefers to be silent, to protect the girl who was his first love. 

A noble attitude from him. He is the REAL prince, after all.

Truth is, Hasky came back. After her arrest, she was given a special sentence: either serve a life-long sentence in prison, or join the military and take down terrorist organizations similar to the Red Ribbon Army.

Hasky chose the latter, and she later ran into Yamcha. They hung out for a bit, but didn't do anything. Hasky knew Yamcha had a girlfriend, so she didn't do anything like that. And Yamcha had no intentions of infidelity.

But Bulma saw them together, and, well... that was it. Bulma chewed Yamcha out and slapped him, not even letting him explain himself. Feeling she shouldn't involve herself with any of this, Hasky left.

Bulma's paranoia ended the relationship. And when Yamcha attempted to explain everything to Bulma, she was already pregnant (unintended) with Vegeta's half-Saiyan boy.
