To get the reflection, I added a x-form with linear3d set at 1 (which basically makes a 1:1 copy of the entire image)then flipped it upside down with post_rotate_x = 2. Since the flame is symmetrical on both axis this makes a perfect 1:1 upside down copy. I imagine with a non-symmetrical flame that I would have to use the flip triangle vertical/horizontal function. Then I adjusted the depth (z-tranlate), weight, color symmetry (1) and added just a touch of gaussian_blur.
As for the lighting, that's just a simple x-form with blur3d variation heavily weighted and I set the gamma to about 2.5ish which has a tendency to overboost the brights and darken the darks giving the illusion of glass/crystal.

This is a really nice technique!I also had the idea oce, to make a reflection like this, but I wanted to add waves (like in my tutorial) to the reflection, what didn't work. But I thik to create a water reflection effect is possible with the Auger plugin, which makes some wavy forms. The way you made the lightning is very good also! I think I'll try something similar with waves too. Thanks

Yes, I also tried that, but I want more^^ I want it to be more realistic, like [link] . I also try to make a script out of it, what will be really hard to get to work on most fames. Here is some experiment: [link]
