So, here's another derivative work: The SPAS-12 shotgun.

The SPAS-12 ("Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun"/"Sporting Purpose Autoloading Shotgun") is probably the most famous shotgun in the world, having shown up in practically every Western work ever since 1979. It is able to be fired in semi-auto mode (for buckshot, slugs, SCMITR, flechette, and frag rounds) or pump-action mode (for blanks and other less-lethal rounds not loaded hot enough to cycle the action). It was manufactured by Franchi, an Italian-based company known for sporting shotguns. The SPAS-12 had a bit of trouble getting imported into the U.S, mainly due to the moral guardians finding it hard to believe that a military shotgun can find civilian use, despite it being done all the time. It was one of the many weapons affected by the Assault Weapons Ban in the U.S., due to its appearance (like every other gun mentioned). For whatever reason, the gun comes with a folding stock, yet the stock is never unfolded in the media, despite it working best when the stock is unfolded.
