Oh, very nice detail on both, by the way. You manage to make them look simular (as the design must have been intentional that way officially) while still making them look like themselves... if that makes any sense.

I've never actually tried using the Copic markers before... XD Don't want to steal Ivy's stuffs.

PW2 was great! I guess I liked 1 better overall (more cases, for one thing), but I really liked PW2's case 2. Pearl is so cute~ They're both awesome games anyhow.

Actually, PW2 is almost as long as PW1. The original Gyakuten is kind of short, since it only contained case 1-4. When case 5 was introduced, its insanely massive volume (*coughshateditcoughs*) bumped its length up, almost equaling it to PW2... PW1 is a lot more light hearted compared to 2, I guess that would be one of the reasons why a lot of people might like it better... 2 is darker and more serious, though I like 2 also~ I think the characters in 2 are more interesting~ X3

And yes~ Pearl is the cutest little thing. <3

Case 5 isn't exactly a filler per se... It was an added chapter... From what I've heard, Gyakuten 1 was meant to be the "perfect" game, Takumi wanted it to end right there. However, since it became a fairly successful hit, the story continued and expanded to Gyakuten 2 and 3. Then when DS came out, they had him add an additional chapter, in some way, to explore the DS system and shows players what kind of potential the system has on the franchise.

Personally, I think the additions were well done and I do like the new features a lot... I just really don't care for the story or the characters. It's not because I was more attached to the original characters (I didn't know about 2 and 3 before I played PW:AA.), it's just that the new characters don't rub well with me. It has its pluses, but generally, I see more minuses in it than the other chapters and characters. *shrug*

And Pearl is still the cutest little thing. *tackles her* X3

Mm... yeah, I think I used the wrong word there. The new features really did seem to use just about every possible function of the DS... but personally, I really like Ema (and the Blue Badger~) as characters. XD

I played the first case of PW3 using an English patch, though, and I really enjoyed it. I definitely think it beat the other games' first cases (if only for the awesomeness of RYU-Phoenix), so I'm hoping they do translate the game and soon. PW4-Hobo-Phoenix, on the other hand, is just creepy.

I actually really look forward to Gyakuten 4, knowing Takumi, he probably put in some amazing twist in the story. X3 *hearts Garyuu* Gyakuten 3 is the darkest out of the 3 in the series so far. Though I must say, the fan translation is okay, but... Errr... Not great. The translation also couldn't capture the characters well too... >_>a I still need to finish reading that interview thing in Nintendo Power... <_
I personally like BB a lot more than Ema. ;Da
