What I'm curious about is if the next Starfox game is going to follow from one of the endings from Starfox command. If they were going to do that I could see the ending where Marcus takes over... Wait what the hell am I saying? *Slaps myself* No just... No. While I like Marcus I don't want want him as the main character yet. Fox is the face of Starfox. Now if they did a thing where they would switch between present (Fox) and future (Marcus) era in the campaign I could see that working. Maybe a half and half deal like a 12 mission campaign, 6 missions of Fox and 6 of Marcus. But after your video on youtube I can see them going pretty basic as a start. Me personally, I'm worried by that, because hardcore fans will be like "This isn't what I expected!" Or something like that. I don't know, what do you think?

Ok you turned the Fan boy on in me so get ready! As a character, mancus could pose some potential, however, having Fox and Krystal get married takes what small amount of romance/comical away from the series. Not to mention, Fox has a serious personality, hes all business although he cares for his team. Some of the more funny moments in games like assault, is when he is confronted with conversations he can't handle like when Krystal comments that they finally get a mission together and Fox just stutters in embarrassment and if he were to confess to Krystal this early in the series, that would take away one of his most memorable aspects at a far too early time. Also I can't believe Fox is in his 40's in command. Come one Nintendo! We want a younger Fox like in 64! I would love for his personality to be more like in Assault, but you guys need to realise that you don't need to be 40 to be serious about your work! Inevitably, Fox and Krystal will be together and should develop in the series, but not this early. When they do, I would love for Fox and Marcus to go on adventures together, but the main character of the series is Fox! If marcus took over, that would be like if Mario retired and we had to play as baby mario XD Or if Robin became the main Character of the Batman series. Working together would make for great multiplayer as well, having one player play as Marcus and the other playing as Fox. But, what's with his name? Marcus? Really? Considering everyone else has names like Fox, Slippy, Peppy, Falco etc, names that would be odd on a human, why was Marcus chosen? Why not James Jr.? That would be cool! One more thing, If Fox's father IS still alive, then we don't want him to return to find his son retired and his grandson taking over! Not to mention James would be like 80 XD And finally, as for the Wii U game, I'm sure we wont get the hardcore story that appeals to both adults and kids like in Assault, simply because of the current situation of the series, but when we get more games in the future, I'm sure we will get a game like Metroid Other M, with a focus more on a dark story rather than trying to be a hit game. I'm not sure why Nintendo rarely does both. Oh, and I would love for them to start Star Fox from the Assault story! Command has been confirmed as being non-cannon with the series.

I just thought of this, let me know what you think of the idea.
So we pretty much know that Marcus isn't going to be in the next Starfox game, but maybe for a future Starfox game, (Not the one coming up, it would be way too early) they could give clues as to Marcus being a part of the next Starfox game. I have two ideas as of right now on how the guys who are making the next Starfox could go with this:
1. Announcer voice for multiplayer: While this is VERY rare that it will happen, if they do add multiplayer, (Online) and there are announcers (Like the ones in Call of Duty) there could be an Easter egg with specific steps that you have to do in the campaign then when you've completed all of the steps, Marcus would be the announcer of the good guys in multiplayer. Then a hidden option would be revealed to turn the announcer between the default, and Marcus. But then they would have to find a good voice actor that can voice act Marcus.
2. Secret level: After the player beats the story/campaign on the hardest difficulty setting, a secret level titled: "Title classified" or "???" with the description of the mission being "???" would be available on the mission select menu. The player would not realize that he/she was playing as Marcus until the very end of the mission. Marcus would say a line saying "Who am I? I'm Fox McCloud's son." or "I'm Marcus McCloud" OR they could go with revealing the face of Marcus at the end of the secret mission.
I would say if one of those two were to be added to a future Starfox game, I think number two would more likely happen.

1: Marcus really doesn't have a voice sadly, so nobody would be able to recognise him.

Yeah, those were just ideas that I thought of, not saying they'll do it at all. In fact I thought as I was typing that up that these were probably not gonna happen. Plus if they did number two it would be a sign that Marcus will be the next main character, and if they did that for the upcoming one, that would be WAY to early for Marcus to take over.

I do have to agree with you about the whole Fox confessing to Krystal deal. It would take away a personality of him. And Marcus taking over just is not the way to go. Fox is the face of Starfox! Plus it would be odd if James were alive to come back and see that his grandson took over XD But if Fox and Marcus were to go on missions together that would be cool. (Hopefully they don't add too much over protective dad dialogue) I could honestly see some ground missions involving you playing as either Fox or Marcus (You would have the choice during the mission briefing screen) and whoever you don't choose would be AI helping you out.
But for now, with the situation, I agree they'll go basic for now, and then eventually get with some more interesting and dark details.

James: Hey Fox guess who's back!
Marcus: Hmm?
James: Who are you?
Marcus: Marcus McCloud. Nintendo thought it would be a great idea for me to take over.
James: What? WTF Nintendo? I never knew I had a grandson!
Marcus: Β Yeah, I was created in one of the endings in command. Anyway If you want to see Fox he's on Corneria.
James: I'll see him later, right now I have to talk to Nintendo. Want to come along?
Marcus: Sure.
*While they are flying to Nintendo HQ*
James: So how did you get into flying?
Marcus: I took the same classes as Fox did.Β
James: How did you do?
Marcus: I did a whole lot better than I expected. I made it into the top ranks of best pilots and joined Starfox team.
James: Cool story.

Right. Normally, I would say that character development is always a good thing, but in the case of Fox confessing to Krystal, I say otherwise. In most series we have time to become very attached to characters and their situations. We become comfortable with the way they react to situations because of the familiarity that we have with them. But we only have so many star fox games and so few of them put emphasis on those aspects, making it hard for us super fans, because while we are able to get so much character development and personality from the games, most other gamers don't because they don't contemplate them as much as us. So I guess in time we will get what we wish for.

Quick question now that we're talking about Fox and Krystal: When do you think it would be an appropriate time for Fox to confess to Krystal? Or should he just not confess at all?

Well it all depends on were the games to come will take us in the next several years. If we get lots of development then it could very soon and vise-versa. Also keep in mind that this is one of the few series that will change little over the years in terms of gameplay so no ten do will eventually need to focus on having a changing story to keep certain audiences invested. That being said, they could move that plot along very quickly. Nintendo is always good at being creative and different without changing their series too much, so I think we will still be in for a long wait but I believe it will happen eventually.

Welp kinda did. I mean, IF, Nintendo DID make a new SF game, they would need to figure out which ending in command to go by. Considering ever single stinkin ending changed the series somewhat, I would thing Myamoto would be smart enough to disregard that cruel, yet fun, DS game..... unless... no NO. that's one reason having multiple endings like ruined the series!! (almost!) but no,no,no and NO! please not Marcus, Fox is the face of Starfox... What I think, they should do is combine Adventures and Assault gameplay, with all three characters (Like a crossover) between Fox,Krystal and Marcus, and each of them have to use a different weapon to save Lylat. Krystal would save Saria, Fox save all of Corneria, and Marcus.... Titania??

YeeeeeeeEEEEEEEssss! EXACTALY what i think! Switching between characters was actually going to be a cool option in Adventures. Instead of the awsome WarpStone, you had the (slightly less awsome) Switch stone, whitch allowed you to switch characters. PS. (switch stone is slightly less awsome because he didnt have an epic accent)

Im honord to be asked that! Just a massive amount of practice and patients. I sat and looked at this one for 45 minutes and added small things here and there. Another good idea is to look closely at any art you like and try to copy there style, it can help develoup your own.
