dude these studies are awesome! love the idea of making your own catalog of species. I need to do this with fish!

Thank you so much!
Yeah, go for it I think they would look lovely in your style and they are great for getting out of art-blocks!

Those trees have a beautiful tree-shape
Somehow - they all seem to have their own character, and quite some details to them. I like the one in the middle - because it is so "detailed", and the left and right one because they seem somewhat... vibrant, like I can almost see them in front of me, and have an idea of their branches underneath all those leaves.

The first two trees were fun to do - that technique is quite relaxing!

What kind of technique did you use for them? Or do you mean using a brush with watercolor for such kind of trees?

Just a regular water brush kept as dry as possible (but in these brushes water will always flow), and little touches of paint. I don't know if it has a name, maybe "dry technique" :3 But it's relaxing because you pick color, make few strokes, and then pick paint again xD thing like these are like meditating, bad thoughts always go away because I have to focus just on what I'm doing!

that sounds like you really found a good way for meditating/relaxing . I still have to find something like that - though it might be that I often choose objects where I still have to think too much about ^^

It changes with the experience, sometimes. When I started I hated this technique, it felt too time-consuming, but now it's all under another point of view.
