I want to introduce you all to my new child! His name is Corus, he's a fan-character of a game I have fallen in love with. BIOSHOCK! Now I know that this is an older game and maybe the fanbase has already died a little bit, but I recently started playing it and let me tell ya - it's awesome. I never felt so badass, betrayed and sad at the same time while playing a game.

Before I get into the story of Corus, let me tell you something about the story of Bioshock (it's not the 100% story and some stuff is how I imagine it). The game takes place in Rapture, a city deep down in the ocean. A man called Andrew Ryan was sick of the world over the ground, with its politics and the people he called parasites, so he decided to build an Utopia where he could decide the rules. At the beginning, Rapture was blooming and the people where happy, until the thirst of Evolution came up. Maybe it was in the heads of the doctors already, but the people started to hunger for strentgh, intellicence, the capability of moving things through only their will. This was when the Plasmids were invented. One who injected himself with Plasmids changed his whole DNA, made him faster, stronger, more intelligent. But those Plasmids needed something to feed on, something our body can't produce. The doctors then started to analyze what they called ADAM and EVE. ADAM was obtained from a rare sea slug, but those animals can only produce so much ADAM. They started to do tests on people, implanted those slugs into them, but only little, female children were able to form a symbiosis with those sea slugs. This was the day a doctor called Dr. Tenenbaum brought the Little Sisters to life, girls transformed into little demons with their only objective to harvest ADAM from dead bodies. Those Little Sisters had to be protected by Big Daddies, former prisoners, their bodies modified to be more monster than man. If a Little Sister is being harmed, a Big Daddy will come and help her, crush everything in his path. Now the doctors had a steady income of ADAM, from which they produced EVE to give the citizen their Plasmids. Summoning finger on your fingertip, casting bolts of lighting from your hands, move objects with your will, those were the things people were no capable to do. But the more Plasmids those people injected into themselves, the more insane they grew. They were now called Splicers, horrible to look at, deformed, lunatic. Revolts started, Splicers got onto each others throats, and Rapture slowly died.

Now to my character:
His name is C0-R5 (or Corus, how he's called now), he forgot his real name after being in Rapture for so long. The only thing he can remember is that he was a murderer on the surface and while being chased down by the police he got shot at and was about to die. People from Rapture then took him to perform tests on him. This was before the Plasmids were a common thing and some people had to be guinea pigs for the doctors. They saved his life by injecting a really unstable Shadow Plasmid into his veins, and for one moment he seemed dead, only to come back, driven by the Plasmid that was slowly taking over his mind. The doctors were able to strain him after he killed some of them, and decided that the Shadow Plasmid should not be brought out to the people. They destroyed other samples of the Plasmid, but let C0-R5 live to make more tests. To repress the highly dominant Plasmid, they injected a Controll Plasmid into his body. Every time a certain tone from a bell sounds, his heart will stop for a few seconds and he won't be able to move. This would also be the only way to restrain him if he ever would disobey or try to escape his confinement. Andrew Ryan kept him as a bodyguard and errand boy until he demanded something from Corus that was against his morals. Because after all his time in Rapture, Corus grew attached to the Little Sisters who treated him like an uncle. Andrew Ryan demanded to get one Little Sister to rip out the sea slugh in her stomach to harvest as much ADAM as possible. Corus refused and ran aways, but Andrew rang the bell to restrain him. A Little Sister together with her Big Daddy then saved Corus and brough him to Dr. Tenenbaum, who was responsible for the Little Sister. Corus then lived together with the Little Sisters and helped them by gathering food around Rapture, always avoiding Andrew Ryan and his henchmen.

Small facts:
After years of experiments and torture, Corus' vocal cords got badly damaged. Eating, drinking and talking hurts so he tends to stay silent.
He has a strong sense of protection towards the Little Sisters, even though he's not a Big Daddy.
The Shadow Plasmid in his veins makes him almost invulnerable. Attacks go through him because he can transform his body into shadow matter at will.
If wounded, his injuries heal slowly and have to be stapled together. His whole body is covered in such wounds and he tries to keep them covered up as good as possible.
His blood is black and injuries emit dark smoke, similar to his Plasmid powers.
Because his Plasmid is one of the earlier ones, his body doesn't need either ADAM nor EVE to use the Plasmid, instead he uses his own life as power. The more of his Plasmid powers he uses, the weaker he gets, and his lifespan shortens. Dr. Tenenbaum thinks that Corus might not get older than fourty years at this point.
Corus is around 25 years old, the exact age isn't known.
When around Little Sisters, Corus gets lighthearted and more talkactive, he often sits there and watches over the girls while they play or draw around with crayons.
He tries to look as harmless as possible towards strangers to avoid any danger, but uses his Plasmid power when necessary.
He often wears a long-sleeved leather jacket and fingerless leather gloves, mostly to hide his body.
