My contribution to the substrata artbook. www.autodestruct.com/substrataβ¦A sort of semi-mayan themed Wurm god of deception and death.
I wanted to create a creepy combination between something human, godlike and monstrous. This is what came out!

This is really cool! It's kind of a cross between that face-stealer in Avatar: The Last Airbender and a necromorph from Dead Space. I also just realized someone on here made a similar comment and that you never saw Avatar. You should totally watch the face-stealer episode!

nah man, Koh was a simple centipede with the eye that changes his face. This is much more detailed. Absolutely love this, much more frightening than Koh. Aang wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face against this

You probably hate hearing this kind of thing, but this reminds me of that face-stealing demon from Avatar: The Last Airbender. It looks amazing! great job!

Well actually Aztec gods from what I know often resembled things that looked nothing like humans. So it's not always some human-like fella who like turn into animals and hump random girls (a.k.a Zeus "hide yo sister, hide yo wife").

ohhh, i can already imagine a sequence where you enter a temple and as you pass by wall decorations, suddenly one of them moves.
and then another where you just see the decoration in front of a dark background, and then suddenly the mouth and everything reveals itself....nice!

naw sometimes theyre called wurms... in GW they're called wurms o.O worms with giant creepy mouths and random spikes are wurms I think D: might be wrong... and if you write it with a y its a Β friggin' dragon o.o
