It may come as a surprise (maybe not) but as a kid, I was a huge Pokemon fan. Though due to the household I lived in, I never got to play many Pokemon games. Actually, the only Pokemon game that I ever owned or completed was Pokemon Platinum on the old Nintendo DS (before the 3DS Nintendo came out).

I stopped fawning over Pokemon after generation 5 and kind of/sort of/partly got into it again after my younger brothers got into collecting Pokemon trading cards. That got me into the mood to play a Pokemon game and since my old DS is lost somewhere in the abyss, I found an alternative way to play and have now started playing Pokemon Diamond to see how much it differs from Platinum.

Like in Platinum, I choose Piplup as my starter and then caught myself a Shinx. So far it's been fun and lately, I've been getting more doses inspiration and imagination so there's that.

Funny thing is that's this isn't the first time I'm imagining and drawing myself as a Pokemon trainer. I actually still have drawings from when I was 12. Anyone interested in seeing? I can do a then and now comparison with this if anyone's interested.

Or I may do it anyway just because I want to.
