Description
The orb in this picture originated from different elements in LOTR, and The dark tower series' (yes folks I am a sci fi/ horror book freak - shoot me now) . Although , of course, there are my own ideas in the mix also.Materials used were my very sophisticated Crayola colouring pencils ,and a black biro.
Any comments appreciated
EDIT: Now I've got photoshop, and a had little time to spare, I've been able to edit out all those lines and other little imperfections...enjoy

That's a really cool concept! I love all of the contrast in the colours. I've never read the Dark Towers series, but LOTR is definetly on my top favorites, so I really like this.

ah, iΒ΄ve been here before. i allready commented on my favorite piece in your gallery, so this is the second best. like this one cause itΒ΄s similar to the other one (flaming tree) and is a bit in contrast to it, because of the color. the idea of combining many elements is great, but you should choose better paper for your art!
greetings

With skills like these you have a very good case to be bought a scanner by a parent And drawing on lined paper is the only thing that I'd say you'd be better without...

This orb owns. You should re-draw it on a piece of clean paper..its worth it. It really rocks. It could be better using a lil digital tweaks but to think you only drew this using your hand, you rock.

Thanx! With stuff like this which has detail, and alot of time's worth of shading ; its going to be too hard to reproduce. I'd rather focus on new work than going back and having a try at redoing the old... but thank you for the comments

Now this is friggin' sweet. Lot's of contrast (which I'm a sucker for), good use of color....
Very nice

Even though some of the highlight placement is questionable, the shading overal is superb. The chalice (for lack of a better term at the moment) the orb is resting in is very intricate and the manner in which the orb is placed in it looks very lifelike!
