So my long awaited Fanstoys/Robot Paradise ACOUSTIC WAVE and FRENZY/RUMBLE finally landed. He looks as great as advertised. And like all FT figures, he feels hefty and solid because of all the diecast. But is he better than Takara’s MP-13? I’ve been undecided until now...now that I’ve had a chance to see AW in person and I think aesthetically, Acoustic Wave looks better than MP-13 simply because I usually prefer toon accuracy and you don’t get any more cartoon accurate than AW. If cartoon accuracy doesn’t mean anything to you than I’m not sure I would recommend this, especially if you’re happy with MP-13, still one of the best Masterpiece figures ever made. It’s a close one; I’ll probably be pondering this one for weeks and might change my mind a few times. As for Frenzy/Rumble, he has the nicest paint job I’ve ever seen on a TF cassette and you can feel the solid diecast. I think he looks *a little* better than the Takara version overall, although I like the Takara head/face better and I think the FT version is a little too tall for a cassette. I also am not crazy about his shoulders (unless I mistransformed him which is always a possibility) and his shoulder guns love to pop off. YMMV!
