Description African Yellow Winged Bat, lavia frons.
Submission for 's February event.
As the name suggests, it is native to Africa south of the Sahara desert. It is the sole species in the family Megadermatidae that is not a carnivore, it feeds only on insects. It is also unusual in that it often hunts during the daytime.
This picture took me a lot longer than I thought, at least twice as long as [link] . Overall, I think I'm pleased with it, although if I'd had more time I could have improved it.

I know right? Whenever I've had free time I usually do something I regret later. It's like: "why did I do that again?"
*Sigh*

Not sure yet. Possibly the Honduran White Bat [link] , although I might take a break from painting bats and go for something different. What do you think?

I'd love for you to draw on of those. But if you want to try something else . . . why not try a horse?
