i was like obssessed with marrying mei not because she was the hardest ( im really lazy lol) she kinda reminded me of myself. LOL you have to get her love points up by giving her 50 rice balls on her b-day, then get your fishing rod to the highest level, and catch a lover snapper in mistybloom cave, then trade it with someone to level 80 ^_^ i havent played the games in months if you want i can trade you one if i have a lover snapper.

you need a friend code, to find your code... go to the shell on the beach, then go to friend roster, then click on add, and on the top screen you will see your friend code... save that because you need to give that to whoever you trade with... heres my code 2621 1741 4595.

oh you need to give her a lover snapper from misty boom cave with the highest fishing rod.
Step 1: Upgrade your Fishing Pole to level 5 (Sacred Rod), which requires you to collect various bits of items from the monsters. Leo can upgrade your pole a few levels for you, but it's up to you to take it all the way to the last level. The last item you'll need comes off of the plants in Danann Cave, so you'll almost be done with the main story line by the time you get the pole upgraded to the required level.
Step 2: Head to the Winter season Misty Bloom Cave and make your way down to the area before the final boss' room, or the room with the Tricky Mush summoning machine (A5). Charge up your Fishing Rod to its highest power and fish off the docks until you catch a Lover Snapper, a large pink fish.
Step 3: Find a friend who also has a copy of Rune Factory for their DS, and use the Wifi network to trade the Lover Snapper back and forth. Each time it passes from DS to DS it will raise 1 level. You need the fish to be at least level 80, so this may take some time.
Once you have the level 80+ fish, give it to Mei and then talk to her again to propose.

but my cousin told me that the item to propose her is a WHALE?? And my other cousin said the fish's name is a japanese name, like 'yume no...' or smth?

the only way your gona get that fish to a level 80 is by trading it back and forth, plus you need to forge your rod to the highest level, hence why shes the hardest to court... i could save u half that time i can just give it to you lol the fish is called lover snapper.
