Description
"Maned Wolf" chrysocyon brachyurus.I once saw a Maned wolf at the Louisville Zoo.
I watched her pounce on a bird that landed in her enclosure. Then i saw her feed it to her babies. Didnt see the babies very well. Just a bunch of flashy white tails. Lol. I'll never forget it.
I love these guys. Its kinda annoying how when i look up wolves sometimes these guys pop up. -.-'
Despite their names, they ARENT wolves. More closely related to a fox but even then its quite set apart.
Its its own species.
Done with my 0.7 mechanical pencil. And just a 24 pack of crayola colored pencils. I was actually affraid to color it. I was afraid the color would get rid/obstruct the pencil details and shading. But it turned out even better than i thought it would. ^^ VERY happy with the result. ^^

Lovely! The directional strokes in the fur show the structure of the coat very nicely, and the paws are drawn wonderfully. I think you've captured their unique posture

Thanks again. ^^ Yeah, you're right: I do practise a lot. And I have been since I was pretty small in fact... But still, I always try to improve my skills - and there is pretty much to improve, if you ask me. I think it's important to try different styles and using different methods so that you always keep honing your skills.

I agree. The more you practice, the better you get regardless the medium or type of art your doing. We all can improve, there is no such thing as perfect in art. However we can accomplish/reach levels of skill and set goals, but even then i know i will never be 100% satisfied with my skill even of i accomplish and reach those goals. I will always want to improve. Its part of what an artist IS. Constantly setting goals, reaching them, and making new ones.

Yeah, that's absolutely what I think too.
That's why I always try to practise as much as possible. But unfortunately I don't have that much time right now due to exams, but I hope I will have more time to do so soon.
