Description Fantasy's Final – Chapter 1: Final Farewells in the night sky.

A slight breeze rushed through the atmosphere, shrieking as it flew across the mountain tops. The summits were bitter cold and only the daring would venture up to the summits. One mountain climbed above the rest and could be seen from quite a distance. This mountain held secrets that some humans would consider a fantast that couldn't even be dreamt. This area was considered quite the delicacy. This area was known as the Noughts Approach.

About a month ago, a few humans had ventured on a journey to Noughts Approach. It was a long treacherous Journey, leading them through many dangerous areas that they could only hope to survive. It made them walk through caves with the darkest of demons and swamps with the strangest of creatures. Upon loosing nearly all they cherished, they reached the summit of the mountain, with only their lives to grasp. They had reached the doorway at last.

Only three humans were left, one was a man, one was a girl and the other, only a small child, which the others cared about greatly. They stood at the tall doorway, it stretched as high as their eyes could see.

The man looked down at the child, "Don't you worry, Kaito, were nearly there. At long last." The man gave a small smile at Kaito, who was clenching onto his legs and wasn't going to let go anytime soon. He couldn't bear what this journey had taken from him so far but it was almost over, Kaito felt happiness burst inside him.

"I can't wait… It's been so long since I've seen my daddy and mommy, I hope they're doing okay." Kaito looked up at the man, he barely knew him but he was like a second father to him. "Is it behind this door? Is home behind this door?"

The woman was inspecting the door, she was unable to open it but she wouldn't give up hope. "It's behind this door alright, we just have to open it, apparently, you can open it Kaito, you have the power to open the door, look at it; is there anything different that catches your eye?"

Kaito looked up at the door, amazingly something did catch his eye straight away. There was a small tile on the door that was slightly different, Kaito didn't understand how he was the only one who could see the tile but it was strange how it caught his eye. He pointed at it, getting the man and the woman's attention to the same tile.

Unable to keep still on how excited she was, the woman sprang up and quickly slapped the tile Kaito had pointed to. The gears could be heard moving around in the back of the door, the three humans looked at each other in confusion but also happiness. After a couple of more seconds the door opened slightly, and Kaito rushed inside unable to catch a glimpse of what was going on.

Kaito stared at the inside of the door, the room was dark and gloomy. It was hard to see while inside this door, the woman got out a lamp and lit it quickly. The room turned out to be exactly as Kaito thought it would, though the man had promised that it was home behind the door, he knew it wasn't, it was obvious it wasn't. In the middle was a huge stone, it had some sort of leaver device on it.

Kaito ran up to the leaver, while the man and the woman were still walking through the door way, he touched it and it sprang down with a huge crash!

The woman came rushing up to Kaito, holding him tightly, a huge green light appeared in front of them and the floor began to glow a bright green too! "What did you do!?" The woman shrieked as she clenched onto Kaito's hands. She and Kaito began to hear voices, "What about Kaito?" She cried, gripping him tight. "He meant you now harm!"

Stone circles began to spring up and they created a circle around the green light, it looked like a portal now. "There's something in the light…" Kaito said, pointing to the light that shone like a portal. "What is this about?"

The woman knocked Kaito, sending him out of the portal's range. "Who are you, why do you want Kaito?" She looked back at Kaito, she could see fear in his eyes, she looked back. She began to hear voices again and again. She shrieked, she saw the leaver, it looked more of a sword now. "No!" She yelled, yanking out the sword.

With a huge blinding light, which caused Kaito to look away for several seconds, he saw the man rush towards the woman. "Hikaru! Yuki!" He screamed, trying to get their attention. Turning round again, he saw that the sword had gone, and so had Yuki and Hikaru! He looked back at the portal and sprinted to the centre. Looking down at the floor, he saw one of Yuki's bands. "Farwell. I will miss you, why did you go though…?"

Walking out of the door, unable to stay there, he wondered why Hikaru had told him about that being the place that leads to his home. He took one final glimpse of Noughts Approach, he couldn't bare it so he turned away suddenly.

"I'm lost because of that place… I'll never be able to get out of here; Yuki and Hikaru were like family, why did they have to go…" Kaito, unable to think about what was going on, not even wondering what the voices were saying or what they were, he wandered out into the bitter cold night.

He looked into the sky, seeing a huge glitter of lights. He had read somewhere that these lights were called Aurora. He didn't know that he was far enough up north in the world to see the lights. He didn't seem to care, he just pushed himself onto the ground, looking up into the sky. Was it possible for this to be a dream? A really bad dream? All this could be a dream he hadn't woken up from yet, he may still be cuddling up to Yuki with Hikaru at the side of them…

He didn't think so, it couldn't possibly be a dream, he always wakes up from nightmares he has. This would be a nightmare; in fact, it was by far the worst nightmare he had ever experienced in his life. He glanced at the sky again, he suddenly felt joyous for some reason, why should he? He's lost and deserted in a freezing wasteland he used to think held his home.

Several minuets later, after starting at the Aurora for a few minuets, his eyes began to feel heavy and then his eyelids began to close on themselves. His mind suddenly thought of the treacherous journey he had just be forced to face. How many of his friends lives had been lost, he then remembered his brother back at his home. Stupidly, he had forgotten why he had been forced to take the journey in the first place.

He suddenly woke up; he was lying on his bed, in his house, back in his home city of Tempate. Tempate is a huge city where the best of warriors come to challenge their skills with the monster championships. Kaito never enjoyed watching the championships, every year they held that tournament. This bored Kaito, though his brother and sister liked them. His brother, Riku, loved watching warriors and hopes to be one some day, though his sister, Asuka, only liked them because of the, "hot," men that fought there.

Kaito got up out of his bed and rushed down his stairs, unable to contain his excitement of being back at his house with his Family...?

He stared at his living room, blankly; there was no one in there. Rushing into the kitchen, he stared once more at the empty space. He blinked a couple of times and wiped his eyes to make sure he wasn't just imagining it but it was true, his family were gone! He rushed outside, not only were his family gone but the whole civilization that his city once had!

He rushed around the city, looking in every store and every building; there must be someone in this city, though there wasn't a being in sight. This obviously scared Kaito, who was only eight years old. It wasn't very hard to know that something was amiss here; Kaito wasn't young enough to not notice that.

Suddenly, the sky grew dark, a huge orb of green light appeared over the horizon and it flew across the sky until it was directly above Tempate. Kaito couldn't help but watch the orb's every move, until part of the light started acting strangely. He looked up into the sky, unaware of his actions, unable get attention of anything else.

A huge gust of wind shrieked as it rushed across the city's building tops. Kaito held tightly to a nearby lamppost as the winds grew stronger until it was unbearable. The orb of light opened up somehow, it threw out strange creatures that looked like gargoyles. He stared at the creatures as they flew across the dark sky; Kaito's excitement was soon transformed into horror.

Letting go of the lamppost, he rushed back to his house. He couldn't bare the fear that was filling up inside him. Grapping the front door's handle, he yanked open the door and sprinted inside of it, slamming the door behind him. The ground suddenly began to shake; a load crash could be heard outside of the house. Holding his head tightly in his hands, he braced himself for the worse that could happen.

After seconds of nothing happening and the earthquake started to get less intense, Kaito looked outside the window to investigate. Kaito fell backwards at what he saw; the whole city was being lifted out of the ground by a huge hook, there were more than one that were hooked onto the town in several locations!

This was all too much for Kaito, he began to feel lightheaded, like he was about to faint. But he didn't, he held on tightly and prepared for the worst again. Looking at the hooks, he felt his heart sink again; the hooks looked like they were about to snap any second. Being made out of rope supporting a huge city didn't help, what were these creatures was thinking!?

The rope snapped, making Kaito plummet to the ground as fast as the speed of sound! Kaito was scared out of his skin, bracing for impact, he tried to endure the hit. He watched from his window as the city began fall, gradually increasing in speed until he saw he was only a few seconds away from impact. Closing his eyes, he was unable to see what was happening but he didn't care, the whole city plummeted to the ground…

Kaito opened his eyes suddenly, his fists clenched onto his heart. Looking around, he noticed that he wasn't anywhere near his home, but under the area of sky that had previously had the Aurora. He signed with great relief, "it was only a dream…" He closed his eyes again, but had to open them again when he saw the sun in the distance, creeping up from behind the mountains.

He picked himself up and cringed at his sweaty clothes, never before had he sweated so much. He looked back at the caverns he had excited from the night before with more enthusiasm than ever before.

"I'm going into the Noughts Approach, I'm going to figure out its secrets and discover what happened to Yuki and Hikaru. I'm only eight years-old, but I can do it." Kaito rubbed his eyes to make sure he really wasn't dreaming this time, then he rushed towards the cavern's entrance and rushed through the door Yuki had opened earlier.

Even though he had seen the same area the previous night, it still amazed him that this area was so mystical. He wandered up to the stone in the middle again; although the sword-leaver had gone it still seemed normal. It was as though it was never there. Turning around, looking at the walls and stuff he remembered what Yuki had told him.

"It's behind this door alright, we just have to open it, apparently, you can open it Kaito, you have the power to open the door, look at it; is there anything different that catches your eye?"

She had told him those words and they were right, for some reason that tile looked different to him, maybe there was something else that could catch Kaito's eye, but apparently there wasn't when Kaito looked around for several minuets.

"I can't give up now." The determined boy kept telling himself as he searched and searched the walls for something to catch his eye… Only able to see cracks and dints, he eventually grew bored of this stuff, like any normal eight year-old…

He thought to himself over and over again about not giving up, though after a few hours he did give up. He thought this place he become useless after what had happened yesterday. He couldn't see anything different; he sat down, unable to think what to do now…

The sky grew dark, once more, as the sun set, Kaito watched the light get drained by the mountains. He walked outside the caves once more and out of the caverns leading to the area he had seen the Aurora, again. He sat on the grass; it was freezing out here like yesterday, but today was worse. Never before had he been alone for so long.

Though, he wasn't alone; "Kaito. You're here?" A voice emitted from behind Kaito, he gave a shriek of joy as he spun around. Though when he looked, there was no one there, he must be hallucinating.

"Great," he said to himself as he turned back around and looked at the sky, "you're finally going insane." Kaito they turned around again to see if he wasn't just dreaming the voice. He saw a figure, standing near the entrance to the cave. He knew who it was straight away. "Daddy…?"

He was hallucinating after all! It really was his father, he got up and rushed towards the figure, it smiled back at him in his father's usual way. He finally got up to his father and gripped tightly onto his trousers, he wouldn't let go for the world.

"Who knew out of all the places, I would find you here, Kaito." His father said, with as much joy as Kaito himself, it was obvious that they were both as happy to see each other. "Where are all the warriors you went with, where is Yuki and Hikaru, the ones who I chose to responsible to you?"

"Daddy, they're gone!" Kaito said, crying loudly. "Yuki and Hikaru, something happened to them when they tried to save me from and horrible light. They took it away from me but they took themselves too!" Kaito looked up into his father's eyes, he seemed scared like Kaito then he rubbed his head.

Kaito's father smiled slightly and cuddled Kaito, "we had better get you home; so everything is going to be all right now." Kaito's father rubbed his head again, "we had better get going, it's night time so we should go through the caves. We're going to our new home; your mother, Riku and Asuka are waiting for you."

Kaito nodded, as they made there was through the cave, past the huge door. It was closed now and was hidden behind huge rocks; they must have collapsed on top of the door because it wasn't closed when Kaito left. While walking past the door, he remembered his warrior friends, Yuki and Hikaru once more…

"Farewell." Kaito said, beginning to cry once more as he walked along, still tightly clutching onto his father's trousers. His father heard him say this, and smiled weakly with sorrow. "Farewell, for the last time… I will miss you and never forget you…"
