In the second generation, I really wanted a Girafarig, but they scared so easily, so when I did manage to damage one and then throw a pokéball, it was so nerve racking!

I guess it's the "security blanket" that MysticAlpha uses. A lot of people mash a certain button or combination of buttons whenever they try to catch a Pokemon.
