Infinity ice which is more obscure than Chrono Trigger is a reference to a condensed formula as seen in the Max Steel animated TV series. This formula when thrown at an area will cover a large portion of it in frozen ice. Great for when Marle runs out of MP.Do Not Use this Pic without Permission.

It's very similar to that. I remember that infinity ice (if it's even called that in the series) is just some sort of glass tube with the substance in it and all you need to do is to throw it to break it.
