This is the most simple form of maths above 1st grade addition.
It's not that hard, it's possibly the simplest mathematical formula you'll be given.

sorry...but that question is easy!!!! use the pythagorean theorem..... or add the two other sides up then subtract it from 360
wouldnt it be 39+ 49 = 88
360 - 88= 272
if i got the numbers correct that should be the answer!!!! its grade 9 math so its not too hard...

You need to square the 2 numbers before adding them, 272 is WAY to big. Consider it logistically, the 2 sides are only 39 and 49. It would be almost theoretically impossible to have the hypotenuse reach 272.
Here is the correct formula I posted earlier;

Ugh, alright. Look;
Imagine you have an angle, with those 2 lengths. (32 and 19),
now imagine you twisted that angle into a straight line. It would only equal both sides added together (51), so as such to hypotenuse cannot go all the way to 272. it's theoretical maximum would be something like 50.999..., which would still allow it to just almost be a hypotenuse, albeit a completely ludicrous one.
What you did was not Pythagoras's Theorem. I'm barely even sure it even relates to any trigonometry formula.

XD If that is a right triangle, you need to use the Pythagorean theorem.. the formula for that is c2 = a2 + b2
Where c = the hypotenuse
a & b = legs of the triangle.
