Yes! It's a beautiful blossom. The others are gorgeous, too. I was hoping to photograph more of them today but had such a bad night that I couldn't even run errands.

Tuesday, I'm determined to get more pictures after I mail a couple of packages. I dread going out in the heat and humidity.

Sorry to hear you had a bad night.

My mom had the bright yellow ones in her garden, but these seem like a deeper color. More like a shade of orange. Or is that just the way my computer is interpreting the colors?

My mom just remarked that the colors of the lilies are different than they usually are. She said that it's likely the sun doing that to them, as we've had a ferocious summer so far. She said they're actually supposed to be a darker color and have lightened. I'll have to ask her what color they're supposed to be. I do know she commented that they're a drastically different color than usual.

I took more pictures of the triples, and they're still that orange shade. If it's not usual, I'm glad that I caught it. With most of the pictures, I did some cropping and added a bit of contrast; I didn't touch the color. Even when I reduced brightness a bit, the colors stayed true. Maybe they'll be neat catches!

Are they supposed to be tiger lilies then? Those are the only ones I know that should be a darker color.

Maybe it's the soil. My mom has a hydrangea bush at her house and she worked for years to get the flowers to turn from white to blue. Other people had it easy, but for some reason that spot in her garden it was really difficult. It took several years to turn pink, then several more to turn purple. I think it only just started blooming in blue a couple years ago and she's had it since 1994.
