Description This is an illustration I did for an exhibition at uni where the students taking part were from our uni and another in Japan. I thought there might be a trip to Japan involved. there was not.

They didn't really get it though anyway probably because the interpreter didn't get it, its a very english sort of thing to be going on, but they really liked the image. Basically its me when i was little saying I want to go to the Moon, but my mum isn't really listening and is moaning I'm not going to the moon til i finish my tea...or maybe it only makes sense to me! I kept to black and white, just because I hadn't done that for ages! The theme was Places and Spaces we'd never been, so I looked at obviously the Moon but also thinking of imagination and worlds in worlds and stuff. Like the woodlouse his world is within our world...and stuff

WAAAAAH I was just checking my account this morning, scrolled down and there it is on the Daily Deviations, how exciting!!

Thanks most of all to Sarah for suggesting it Go and check out her work! Do it now!

Thanks for faves of course, i'm so happy!

Yeh. Trying to imagine seeing in 7 colors is like trying to visualize a hypercube. Brain. Hurts. But in both cases I wish I could.

The conga eel was alive? I've never seen one.

We have one of those zoos where the animals are out in the open and the people drive in among them. It's about 4 hours from here. That's pretty cool. Have you seen a zoo like that?

Thanks for the watch!

Yeah the conga was alive..just hanging around looking very creepy, weird!! I do like eels tho but that one was just weird lol

Crocodiles are like that. They just lie there in the water unmoving for forever. Just waiting for something edible to come into range. Like you.

Can't feed the lions! What a rip. Then what are rug rats good for?

hahah, i like it!!

the conga eel really was lurking. i tried to take a picture but it was very dark, and i'm no pro photographer! Probably waiting for something to munch on too. Crocs are cool... they just dont move for ages and look like logs... then NOM!!! they get you!!

This is funny....but....I cannot relate, really. I was never told to finish certain foods, because...well...because I dunno. But I love tea! The only food served to me that I refused to eat was seafood....but it disagreed with my stomach and its taste made me gag, so I never was forced to eat it. Cute picture nonetheless!

Mystra-Inc In reply to milora [2010-01-12 19:58:15 +0000 UTC]

ah it's a English thing, 'tea' is another word for dinner, as in the evening meal, well i say english, its only northern english to say it too, which i guess is why alot of people don't get it everyone has their own language and crazy phrases lol

i'm glad you still enjoy it anyway, hoep the explanation was useful, i should prob put it on the description as most of DA isn't from Northern England!!

(I'm drinking green tea by the way, because we just got a new kind and I must try it out;..)

we had some strange tea in the cupboard that was yummy, i think it was vanilla and some sort of berries, it was nice !! and of course just normal breakfast tea...very english lol

green tea is nice, esp when u feel a bit unwell makes me feel a bit better sometimes!

milora In reply to Mystra-Inc [2010-01-12 20:15:04 +0000 UTC]

Mmmm....sounds lovely.... round here there is such a small variety of tea... ...But they import some nice teas....they cost more...

What's breakfast tea??

Yeah, I like green tea....good thing, too, because it's one of the only widely sold teas around here. America is sorely missing out on the beauty of tea!

I tried a very good cinnamon tea...and a nice raspberry tea from Trader Joe's, though peppermint is also nice.
But I was curious....what does one put in tea? When I was little I dumped half the sugar bowl into my tea, but now I just drink it plain.

Mystra-Inc In reply to milora [2010-01-12 21:24:53 +0000 UTC]

haha to be fair i like a lot of sugar in my tea!!

breakfast tea is kinda like the most basic tea, not as pure as say green tea, and most people here have it with milk, old fashioned people will have it without milk and with a slice of lemon instead. i like it better without milk, but no lemon and of course lots of sugar. Actually Starbucks sell a similar thing it's the tea called Awake, if you ever go there.

but fruit tea and stuff i just have them plain cause they are so yummy by themselves!

milora In reply to Mystra-Inc [2010-01-12 23:20:32 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, awesome. You might try stevia extract, though...it's a natural sugar-free sweetener, basically it is the extract of an herb that has more than three times the sweetness of sugar O_o They sell it at Trader Joe's, though I'm not sure if there are TJs in England .-.

Oh, all right. No, I never go to Starbucks, but there are at least two within a few miles of me. I will check it out some time. Thanks for the tip!

Mmm, they sure are....

Sooo many Americans are used to super super super super sweet stuff, so they dislike tea =_= I know no-one that likes tea, not even people outside my age range

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mystra-Inc In reply to milora [2010-01-12 23:29:36 +0000 UTC]

No we don't have TJ here I'm afraid, but i'm sure somewhere would sell that sorta thing, we have a lot of herbal type stores so i will check that out before i lose all my teeth from too much sugar!!

I'm not that much of a Starbucks fantatic, its a bit expensive (but too nice lol), but my boss has been to LA and Texas and he told me that 'Awake' at Starbucks is the nearest you can get to British style tea

but the good thing for you is...the less people who like tea...the more tea there is for you!!!

thanks, i really need to check out Persepolis, the graphic novel is in my to-read list and the film is in my to-watch list lol. i like to do different styles everytime normally, it's just my recent stuff has become more similar simply because its mainly the Rover and Mystra stuff which is my latest (and far too drawn out lol) project. Once i nail that one down i'll havemore time to do other sorts of things

thanks for both the fave and most of all the watch! I really appreciate it
