Description This is an illustration I did for an exhibition at uni where the students taking part were from our uni and another in Japan. I thought there might be a trip to Japan involved. there was not.

They didn't really get it though anyway probably because the interpreter didn't get it, its a very english sort of thing to be going on, but they really liked the image. Basically its me when i was little saying I want to go to the Moon, but my mum isn't really listening and is moaning I'm not going to the moon til i finish my tea...or maybe it only makes sense to me! I kept to black and white, just because I hadn't done that for ages! The theme was Places and Spaces we'd never been, so I looked at obviously the Moon but also thinking of imagination and worlds in worlds and stuff. Like the woodlouse his world is within our world...and stuff

WAAAAAH I was just checking my account this morning, scrolled down and there it is on the Daily Deviations, how exciting!!

Thanks most of all to Sarah for suggesting it Go and check out her work! Do it now!

Thanks for faves of course, i'm so happy!

i hear it on the album. i have to confess i tried to watch the movie several times and kept turning it off... i have high tolerance for movies but this one had too much anguish and despair, which is OK because it's a strong sad story.

perhaps you didn't intend the bugs to be creepy, maybe i just see things though a creepifying filter. in any case, this piece really speaks to me and it reminds me that every child has his/her own world and perceptions within it, as real as what any adult would call "the real world".

i'm similar myself with movies, i find it hard to watch, which is probably why i haven't watched it for so long.

I definitely agree with you on the child's own world though, those things you did in your own little world when you're a child are real even when you grow up and realise the real world's completely different, they are real no matter who tells you they weren't. you could create any kind of world you want. wish i could do that so well for myself now! lol

I think this is very cute

I get it, I think xD My mom used to say the same sort of thing to me when I was little

"No ones gonna be a superstar if they don't finish their broccoli!"

This is cute and very well done!

Keep up the good work
