Yeah, I just watched Trigun. I'll post my specific comments about it and what I liked and hated when I color this sketch.
In short though, it was an OK anime. Pretty interesting, although I didn't approve of some parts. Meryl was my favorite character and the only one I never wanted to smack at any point. Vash probably comes in second, although I have to admit I kinda hated him at first for being a lecherous jerk at times. But once he cut it out he got more cool.
And I feel for the artist who designed his outfit. What the heck was he thinking?? It's got more belts and buckles on it than anything anyone ever wore in Yu-Gi-Oh! Or Kingdom Hearts! I'd hate to have to draw that repeatedly for a manga. It was annoying enough for the sketch, although I do admit that afterwards it was actually a fun outfit to draw.
And Vash's glasses make me laugh. Those have to be the most ridiculous eyewear in anime. I thought them really weird at first, but they've grown on me.

THINGS I NEED TO CLEAN ON THIS:
For some reason, I always draw fanart characters with their heads too big. Doesn't matter what I do. So I need to shrink 'em.
I might need to shrink Meryl's top half too. Not sure.
I'm not sure Vash's left arm has enough buckles. If I end up caring enough, I may add another one for good measure. Hey, what's one more or less on that crazy outfit, right?
I misjudged the size of the sketch, and the top of Meryl's head went off the page. I'll have to do something about that.

So enjoy the sketch. I shouldn't be drawing this, because I've got a ton of other artwork on my plate already that I have to finish, but when I see a new series I have to draw fanart. ^_^
